Navigating the Dome/GWCC/Philips Arena/CNN Station

The Dome/GWCC/Philips Arena/CNN Station is a popular destination for sports enthusiasts, concert goers and convention attendees heading to events at the Georgia Dome, Philips Arena, Centennial Olympic Park and the Georgia World Congress Center. It’s also is one of the most pleasant downtown MARTA stations and nearby hotels provide park views in a quieter area of the city.

The station itself is fairly uncomplicated, just deep underground. There are two main ways to exit the station: Georgia Dome and Philips Arena. See below for destinations near each exit.

Georgia Dome Exit

The Georgia Dome exit connects directly to a lower entrance of the Georgia Dome at the west end of the station. The new Falcons Stadium won’t have a direct connection to MARTA, but is next door to the Georgia Dome and will be in walking distance from the Philips Arena station exit and the Vine City MARTA station.

Philips Arena Exit

The Philips Arena exit goes to street level via tall escalators (elevator also available). There’s a MARTA entrance to Philips Arena across from the station exit. Otherwise, turn left at the top of the escalator for:

Turn right at the top of the escalators for:

There are no buses, parking or a passenger drop-off/pick-up area at this station. The next best option is at Vine City MARTA station, one stop west at 502 Rhodes Street. You can also walk to the Dome via the Vine City Station as a less crowded option.
