Transit Tips and Directions to Atlanta Destinations
Restaurants Near the Medical Center MARTA Station
There aren’t many restaurants near the Medical Center MARTA station, and the ones that are there are either in area hotels/office buildings or are fast food spots. To help you find your way to a bite to eat if you’re in the area, see the list below.
As contradictory as it might sound, there’s actually a McDonald’s inside Northside Hospital. Take the Peachtree Dunwoody exit out of the station, cross over the street at the stoplight then turn left on Peachtree Dunwoody Road to reach the hospital.
This restaurant and cafe is just over a 10-minute walk from the station next to the Concourse Athletic Club. Cross over Peachtree Dunwoody Road in front of the station then turn right on Peachtree Dunwoody Road and walk under the interstate.
Savor Bar and Kitchen
Behind Courtside Grill in the Westin Atlanta Perimeter North hotel is Savor Bar and Kitchen where you can enjoy Southern dining and cocktails with lake views.
Moe’s Southwest Grill
For a quick burrito or tacos, head to Moe’s. Turn left on Peachtree Dunwoody Road in front of the station then right on Johnson Ferry Road and walk about two blocks. Total walking time is approximately 13 minutes.
Next to Moe’s you’ll also find Subway, where you can create your own deli sandwich.
Gruby’s New York Deli
Or choose Gruby’s New York Deli in the same shopping center for menu items including sandwiches, salads and soups. Breakfast is also available in the morning.
Rising Roll Gourmet
Twenty minutes away from the Medical Center station on foot, Rising Roll Gourmet offers breakfast and lunch in the Haverty’s building about a block away from Moe’s on Johnson Ferry Road.
For fine dining in a secluded wooded area, Villa Christina is a romantic spot for lunch and dinner. Walking time is about 26 minutes from the station however (see map), so you might want to arrange for an Uber car or other car service from the MARTA station.
