Transit Tips and Directions to Atlanta Destinations
MARTA Red Line
The MARTA red line travels north and south through Atlanta with a stop at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport. Stations are in major business centers including downtown Atlanta, Midtown, Buckhead and the Perimeter. Many Atlanta hotels, employers and attractions are near the red line as well as many of the city’s top restaurants and bars.
Service note: After 8:30 p.m., the red line only travels between North Springs and the Lindbergh Center MARTA stations. Take the gold line to Lindbergh Center and transfer if your final destination is Buckhead, Medical Center, Dunwoody, Sandy Springs or North Springs.
Red line hours are approximately 4:45 a.m. to 1:15 a.m. on weekdays and 6 a.m. to 1:15 a.m. on weekends and holidays. Download the MARTA on the Go App for the next arriving trains in real-time, especially for weekend travel when ongoing track work frequently alters normal rail schedules. Typically trains are every 10 to 12 minutes on weekdays and slow to every 20 minutes after 8 p.m. and on weekends/holidays.
Tip: Plan your trip with Google Maps to view which train to board in order to arrive at your destination on time.
Free daily parking is available at the North Springs, Sandy Springs, Dunwoody, Medical Center and Lindbergh Center MARTA stations on the north side of Atlanta. South of downtown, daily parking is at the West End, Oakland City, Lakewood, East Point and College Park stations.
For overnight parking, use the North Springs, Sandy Springs, Dunwoody, Lindbergh Center or College Park MARTA stations.
Red Line Hotels
