The MARTA gold line travels from Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport through downtown, Midtown and Buckhead to Brookhaven, Chamblee and Doraville. Several of Atlanta’s major business centers and many hotels are on this line, and the Doraville MARTA station is a popular place to park and ride with its proximity to I-85 and I-285.
After 8:30 p.m., only gold line trains travel through the city and to the airport — approximately every 20 minutes. At that time, the Lindbergh Center MARTA station is the transfer point to the red line.
Download the MARTA on the Go App for the next arriving trains in real-time. Trains are every 10 to 12 minutes most of the day and slow to every 20 minutes after 8 p.m. and on weekends/holidays.
Rail hours are approximately 4:45 a.m. to 1:15 a.m. on weekdays and 6 a.m. to 1:15 a.m. on weekends and holidays.
Gold Line Hotels
Most of Atlanta’s hotels are near the gold line in downtown and Midtown. The Peachtree Center, Civic Center, North Avenue, Midtown and Arts Center stations have many options if you’re looking for accommodations. There’s also a gold line station in Buckhead, the Lenox MARTA station, with additional hotels to choose from.
