The MARTA gold line travels northeast from Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport through downtown, Midtown and Buckhead to Brookhaven, Chamblee and Doraville (see map). Some of Atlanta’s major business centers are near gold line stations as well as international areas featuring food from around the world.
Things to Know: The gold line is near I-85 and all stations between Lindbergh Center and Doraville have free daily parking that’s convenient to the interstate.
Gold line hours are approximately 4:45 a.m. to 1:15 a.m. on weekdays and 6 a.m. to 1:15 a.m. on weekends and holidays. Download the MARTA on the Go App for the next arriving trains in real-time, especially for weekend travel when ongoing track work frequently alters normal rail schedules. Typically trains are every 10 to 12 minutes on weekdays and slow to every 20 minutes after 8 p.m. and on weekends/holidays.
Tip: Plan your trip with Google Maps to view which train to board in order to arrive at your destination on time.
North of Atlanta, free daily parking along the gold line is available at the Doraville, Chamblee, Brookhaven, Lenox and Lindbergh Center MARTA stations. South of downtown Atlanta, daily parking is available at West End, Oakland City, Lakewood, East Point and College Park.
Paid overnight parking is available at Doraville, Brookhaven, Lenox, Lindbergh Center and College Park stations.
