The Civic Center MARTA station has grown in popularity due to its location next to the Megabus. If you are arriving at the station on MARTA or a bus, see below for the nearby restaurants if you need a bite to eat.

Jimmy John’s Gourmet Sandwiches

For a quick sandwich, head to Jimmy John’s. Walk south on West Peachtree Street toward the downtown skyline and turn right at the first intersection on Ivan Allen Jr. Blvd.

Mellow Mushroom

If you’re craving pizza, Mellow Mushroom is next to Jimmy John’s (see above) on Ivan Allen Jr. Blvd. They also have WiFi and sandwiches and salads on the menu, making it a good spot to spend time if you’re waiting for a Megabus.

BLT Steak

BLT Steak inside the W hotel is a classy place to get gourmet meal. It is a great date and steak spot. Look for their specials during the Downtown Restaurant Week. The restaurant and hotel a few doors down from Mellow Mushroom on Ivan Allen Jr. Blvd.

Max Lager’s Wood-fire Grill and Brewery

With a casual atmosphere, large beer selection and a rare patio in downtown Atlanta, Max Lager’s is just over a block from the station on Peachtree Street. Head south on West Peachtree Street toward the downtown skyline and turn left on a small diagonal street in front of Hardy Ivy Park, where West Peachtree Street ends. Max Lager’s is on the next corner, near Hyatt Place.

Room at TWELVE

Inside TWELVE Centennial Olympic Park (hotel and residences) immediately next to the station is Room, a higher-end American restaurant that features steak, sushi, seafood and is open for breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner.

Scales 925

The newest restaurant on the block is Scales 925, an upscale Southern restaurant concept by Atlanta rapper T.I. The restaurant is on the corner of West Peachtree Street and Ivan Allen Jr. (just south of the station toward the downtown skyline).

Cafe Apple

Just around the corner from the MARTA station you’ll find Cafe Apple, which is open Monday-Friday for breakfast and lunch. Choose from sandwiches, salads and a hot food bar. Turn right on Ivan Allen Jr. to reach the restaurant.

Mandarin House II

A straight shot down West Peachtree Street, Mandarin House II is the local Chinese and sushi restaurant at 11 Baker Street NW. Walk south toward the downtown skyline from the station for about 2.5 blocks, then turn right on Baker.

SunTrust Plaza Food Court

Located in the SunTrust building is a food court with a variety of food options. Choose from pasta, pizza, burgers, deli and more. Walk south on West Peachtree Street toward downtown and turn left in front of Hardy Ivy Park. The short side street dead ends at the SunTrust Plaza.

Morton’s the Steakhouse

Located at 303 Peachtree Center Avenue, Morton’s the Steakhouse is on the back side of the SunTrust Plaza. Walk south on West Peachtree Street toward downtown and turn left in front of Hardy Ivy Park. The short side street dead ends at the SunTrust Plaza. Cross over Peachtree Street at the crosswalk and walk slightly left to walk around the front of the plaza, following the building around to Peachtree Center Avenue. Turn right at Peachtree Center Avenue to reach the restaurant.

Pacific Rim Bistro

Next to Morton’s you’ll also find the Pacific Rim Bistro, which features happy hour specials, lunch and dinner with an Asian flare. Walking time is less than 10 minutes, and for the fastest route, head south on West Peachtree Street toward the skyline, turn left on Ivan Allen Jr. Blvd. and right on Peachtree Street and keep straight ahead and slightly left when the road splits to enter Peachtree Center Avenue.

Big Kahuna

The third restaurant in the SunTrust Plaza is the Big Kahuna, where you can chow down on burgers, tacos and other classic American food and pretend you are at the beach. There is a student discount every Thursday and happy hour specials. See above directions to the Pacific Rim Bistro to get here.
