The Atlanta Streetcar route travels in a loop in downtown Atlanta near several MARTA stations and attractions. See below for all the streetcar stops with nearby destinations to plan your trip. Note that you have to purchase streetcar fare separately from MARTA using the Android or iOS app or at a vending machine at a streetcar stop.

Peachtree Center

The Peachtree Center streetcar stop is next to the MARTA station of the same name and is in the center of Atlanta’s downtown business district. Many restaurants and hotels are nearby. Exit here for:

Carnegie at Spring is a quiet stop for hotels or sign up to take a tour of Atlanta with ATL-Cruzers.

This stop is a must-do with many attractions in the area, including Waffle House, a Southern favorite. It’s also in walking distance of the Dome MARTA station on the blue and green lines (about 8 minutes on foot).

Sweet Auburn Market

The Sweet Auburn Market is a historic Atlanta attraction and great place to get groceries or a meal. You can also walk to or from the Georgia State MARTA station in about 10 minutes.

Edgewood at Hilliard

For nightlife and restaurants on Edgewood Avenue, exit at the Edgewood at Hilliard stop. The streetcar operates until 1 a.m. on Friday and Saturday nights, or request an Uber or Lyft car home if you plan to be out late (use promo code MARTAGuide to get $20 off your first Uber ride). You can also walk to/from the King Memorial MARTA station in 7 minutes.

There are many restaurants and bars in the area as well as Cafe + Velo (bike rentals available) and the Selena S. Butler Park.

King Historic District

The King Historic District is a must-visit for tourists, and the streetcar provides one of the best options for getting to and from the site. Explore exhibits, King’s birth home, church and more. Plus, get a photo of the skyline at the Jackson Street bridge!
