In preparation for the Georgia Dome implosion, all blue and green line rail service west of Five Points will be suspended on Monday, November 20. Three bus shuttles will provide connections between Five Points and the Bankhead, Ashby, West Lake and H.E. Holmes MARTA stations, and the Dome and Vine City stations will be closed until the area has been cleared. Other things to know about the service changes:
Choose from the following route options:
- H.E. Holmes Express: Board a purple shuttle for non-stop service between H.E. Holmes and Five Points. Frequency is every 5 to 7 minutes.
- Green Line: Green shuttles will stop at Bankhead, Ashby and Five Points every 10 minutes.
- Blue Line: Blue shuttles will stop at H.E. Holmes. West Lake, Ashby and Five Points every 10 minutes
Shuttle service will begin at 4:30 a.m. on Monday and will continue until rail service resumes. View the @MARTAService Twitter feed for the latest updates.
Transfer between the blue and green shuttles if needed via the stop on Martin Luther King Jr. Drive at Paschal Blvd. near the Walmart.
Service to Destinations Near the Georgia Dome
If your final destination is the CNN Center, Philips Arena, Georgia World Congress Center, Centennial Olympic Park, Omni Hotel, Glenn Hotel, College Football Hall of Fame or other destination near the Dome MARTA station, walk about 15 minutes from the Five Points MARTA station or connect with bus 51 on Marietta Street near Five Points, along Joseph E. Boone Blvd. or at the H.E. Holmes MARTA station.
Bus 94 Reroute
In addition to MARTA rail service changes, bus 94 will reroute to Sunset and Walnut Streets between Joseph E. Boone and Atlanta Student Movement Blvd. instead of traveling on Northside Drive. View the altered route map online.
