The Westside Atlanta Streets Alive route is one of several car-free experiences in Atlanta. Explore Marietta Street and Howell Mill Road on foot, bike, skateboard or other human-powered transportation from the Five Points MARTA station to Chattahoochee Avenue. Join the bike parade at 4 p.m. or participate in the many activities along the route, which is in walking distance of four MARTA stations.
Tip: Need a bike? Rent a Relay Bike downtown or at several MARTA stations (use the Social Bikes app to find available rentals).
MARTA Rail Options
All Lines: Take any train to the Five Points MARTA station and exit via Peachtree Street, Broad Street or Forsyth Street, though if you have a bike with you, we recommend the Peachtree Street exit as there are less escalators/stairs involved. A block north of the station is Marietta Street where you’ll find all the fun (turn left out of the Peachtree Street exit).
Blue/Green Line Recommendation: Take a blue or green line train to the Dome MARTA station and follow the signs to the Philips Arena exit. Walk either direction around Philips Arena at street level to reach Marietta Street.
Less Crowded: Take a red or gold line train to the Civic Center MARTA station and bike from that location or walk 15 minutes to Marietta Street to reach a more central point along the route (view map)
