Atlanta’s Black History Month Parade takes place on Feb. 23, 2019 in downtown Atlanta. This family-friendly event starts at Hurt Park near the Georgia State MARTA station on the blue and green line and travels to Centennial Olympic Park via Marietta Street.
For the shortest/easiest walk to view the parade, take any train to the Five Points MARTA station and follow signs to the Broad Street Plaza exit near the RideStore. Walk through the plaza to Marietta Street to view the parade.
Or travel to the GWCC/CNN MARTA station on the blue and green line for a pleasant 10-minute walk to view the parade. Follow signs pointing to State Farm Arena to exit the station and at street level turn left or right to walk around the arena and CNN Center in order to reach Marietta Street next to Centennial Olympic Park.
If you are traveling from the red or gold line, you can exit at the Peachtree Center MARTA station to reach Centennial Olympic Park, though the walk is longer.
