Woodstock is a suburb far north of Atlanta that is not in MARTA service area. However, you can reach Woodstock via regional buses operated by GRTA Xpress . Currently there are two bus routes that connect Woodstock with MARTA: GRTA Xpress 483 and GRTA Express 490. Explore these options below.
Note that you will need to purchase a Breeze Card and have either cash value or fare for the proper transit agency stored on the card. There are free transfers between systems, however, you must have a fare or pass for the transit system you are starting on. So, for MARTA commutes to Woodstock, you’ll need MARTA fare or stored cash value on a Breeze Card in order to reach a train station with a connection GRTA Xpress bus route. To get back to MARTA, you will first need to have purchased fare for GRTA Xpress or use stored cash value on your Breeze Card.
GRTA Xpress 483
This route departs from the Civic Center and Arts Center MARTA stations between 3 and 6 p.m. on weekdays. Commute time is about one hour.
GRTA Xpress 490
Buses on this route depart from downtown Atlanta between 4 and 6 p.m. on weekdays only. Commute time is about 1 hour and 15 minutes. Buses also depart from the Woodstock park and ride early morning on weekdays.
