Atlanta Contemporary is a free admission nonprofit and non-collecting institution dedicated to the creation, presentation, and advancement of contemporary art by emerging and established artists. In West Midtown near Georgia Tech at 535 Means Street NW, the closest MARTA station is North Avenue, but getting to the art center requires taking a bus or other form of transit. See below for commute options.

MARTA Bus

Transfer to bus 1 at the North Avenue MARTA station and ride the bus for about 15 minutes, exiting at Marietta and Means Street (Salvation Army and a stoplight are at the intersection). Walk on Means Street toward Salvation Army to reach the building.

Car Service

Don’t want to take the bus? Request Uber or Lyft from the North Avenue or Midtown MARTA station for the least expensive commute. If you are new to Uber, use promo code MARTAGuide to get $20 off your first ride. Both stations also have nearby Zipcars to rent by the hour.

Bike

On a bike, the commute is just under 15 minutes from either the Midtown or North Avenue MARTA station. Take a route through Georgia Tech to avoid heavy car traffic. View directions from North Avenue and directions from Midtown.
