With Christmas just over a week away, there’s no shortage of holiday concerts featuring actual holiday music or creative holiday names. Here’s a quick list of the events to check out, all convenient to MARTA rail, so you can deck the halls and be merry without a car (or drinking and driving).
On Monday Dec. 14, the Fox Theatre hosts Star 94’s Jingle Jam. Pentatonix, Andy Grammer and NEEDTOBREATHE will be on stage a short walk from the North Avenue MARTA station.
Justin Bieber, Nick Jonas and others performs on Thursday at Philips Arena at 96.1’s Jingle Ball. Show starts at 7 p.m. next to the Dome MARTA station.
If rock instead of pop is more your thing, head to the Tabernacle on Thursday or Friday instead for 105.7’s holiday shows. AWOLNATION and Metric are featured bands on Thursdays, or check out The Arcs and Highly Suspect on Friday.
Very Merry Holiday Pops
For traditional holiday music favorites, don’t miss the Atlanta Symphony on Thursday and Saturday. The show starts at 8 p.m. in the Woodruff Arts Center next to the Arts Center MARTA station.
V103’s Winterfest is the fourth radio station having a music bash this week. On Saturday, Philips Arena will feature performances from Keith Sweat, Tyrese, Silk and others. Head downtown early and grab a bite to eat at one of the restaurants near Philips Arena.
Cirque Musica Holiday Spectacular
On Sunday evening, enjoy a visual and audio extravaganza at Philips Arena with Cirque Musica. Circus performances blend with a live symphony performance of all the top holiday music.
Celtic Woman: Home for Christmas
Or enjoy an international performance on Sunday at the Atlanta Symphony Hall with a performance by Celtic Woman. The all-female Irish group will sing traditional holiday favorites with the symphony.
