The Atlanta Pride Festival is a yearly event held in and around Piedmont Park near the Midtown and Arts Center MARTA stations. In addition to entertainment and a marketplace, one of the highlights is the Atlanta Pride Parade that takes place on Sunday of the festival weekend, with a start near the Civic Center MARTA station.
Because train frequency is every 20 minutes on the weekend, we recommend using the MARTA on the Go app for real-time train arrivals or via arrivals online at marta.io. We also recommend parking at the Lindbergh Center MARTA station for a short train ride to the park if you are commuting from central or north Atlanta.
Take a red or gold line train the Midtown or Arts Center MARTA station. See transit and walking directions to Piedmont Park to plan your commute. Walking time is at least 15 minutes to reach the festivities. If your starting station is on the blue or green line, travel to Five Points and follow signs to the Northbound platform and get on the first arriving train.
For the parade, use the Civic Center MARTA station to reach the starting point. You can also exit at the North Avenue and Midtown MARTA stations and walk to Peachtree Street to see the parade. View the MARTA station map to learn more.
The BeltLine Eastside Trail is next to Piedmont Park — great for walking or biking. Trail access is behind the Ansley Mall Publix, in Virginia Highland off of Greenwood Avenue, on Ralph McGill Blvd., next to the Inman Park Village, on Edgewood Avenue and now also in Reynoldstown. Via MARTA, we recommend traveling to the Inman Park MARTA station on the blue line and biking to the trail from there.
