The East Point Historical Society at 1685 Norman Berry Drive is near the East Point MARTA station on the red/gold rail line. Archives and a museum are free and open to the public in a restored 1913 house. Hours are Thursdays 12-3 p.m. and Saturdays 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. For updates on events and closings, visit their website or Facebook group.
There are two ways to reach the building on transit:
Walk
Walking time is about 15 minutes from the station to the historical society. Exit the East Point MARTA station using the north exit for the shortest walk and turn right on Main Street. Walk about three blocks and turn left on Connally Drive then veer left at the first intersection to reach Norman Berry Drive (see walking map).
Bus
Bus 93 departs from the East Point MARTA station and stops outside the historical society. It is free to transfer from the train to the bus. Signal to exit after the bus at the South Fulton Medical Center or Spring Street Park. The bus passes the historical society and stops just beyond it.
