The LEGOLAND Discovery Center in Atlanta is located inside Phipps Plaza, near both the Lenox MARTA station on the gold rail line and the Buckhead MARTA station on the red line (Buckhead is slightly closer). There are play areas, LEGO exhibits, rides, tours and a cinema. The center can also be reserved for parties and has an adult night on a regular basis.
Take the Peachtree Road South exit out of the station, which is the first stairway and elevator after the fare gates. At street level turn left on Peachtree Road and walk about two blocks. Cross over Lenox Road then turn left on Lenox to reach the movie theater entrance to the mall. Total walking time is about 10 minutes.
After getting off the train, follow the signs to the “To Mall” exit. After exiting the faregate, walk straight out of the station on Lenox Road, crossing East Paces Ferry at the stoplight. Walk about two blocks to Peachtree Street, where you’ll find Phipps on the corner. Cross over Peachtree Street and enter via a parking lot on the right near the movie theater for easiest access to LEGOLAND. Walking time is about 13 minutes.
Bus 110 stops next to Phipps Plaza. Connect with the bus at the Brookhaven, Buckhead or Arts Center station. It’s free to ride the bus if you are transferring from a train.
- Use crosswalks and be cautious when crossing streets. The area has wide roads and heavy traffic.
- While the walk from Buckhead is shorter, use the Lenox Station if you’re already traveling on the gold line to avoid transfers.
- The food courts in both Phipps Plaza and Lenox Square provide the most affordable and quick options for food, especially if you have children with you.
