Downtown Decatur is directly above the Decatur MARTA station on the blue line. The area is full of shops, restaurants and special events throughout the year. Popular events include Forth of July fireworks, AJC Book Festival, Craft Beer Festival, Wine Festival, Blue Sky Concerts and a weekly farmer’s market on Saturday.
Only the “Indian Creek” train travels to Decatur. If you are traveling from the red or gold line, transfer at Five Points to the eastbound train platform and wait for an “Indian Creek” train.
Several bus routes also travel to the area, providing an alternative option, and in some cases, the bus route may be easier to get to than the rail stations.
