Freedom Park is composed of several linear parks and paths/bike trails that stretch from near downtown to Little Five Points/Candler Park. The main greenspace referred to as Freedom Park is located where Freedom Parkway dead ends at Moreland Avenue in Little Five Points.
The closest MARTA station is Inman Park station on the blue/green rail line. There are several commute options:
For easiest access, board bus 6 at the Inman Park station, which has a stop next to the park. Bus 6 also connects with the Lindbergh Center Station on the red/gold rail line. It is free to ride the bus if you are transferring from a train.
If you want to enjoy a longer walk, exit at Inman Park and keep right after going through the fare gate to go down to street level. Keep right again and walk along the front of the station to reach a sidewalk marked The PATH. Take the PATH through the park next to the station and turn right at the first street, Euclid Avenue. Stay on Euclid for about two large blocks then turn left on Moreland Avenue. The park is another two blocks up the street.
If you have a bike, follow the above directions to reach the PATH, but cross over Euclid Avenue and North Highland Avenue while on the trail. At this point the PATH merges with another trail near the Carter Center. Keep to the right and the bike path will take you straight to the park.
