MARTA to Freedom Park

Freedom Park is composed of several linear parks and paths/bike trails that stretch from near downtown to Little Five Points/Candler Park.  The main greenspace referred to as Freedom Park is located where Freedom Parkway dead ends at Moreland Avenue in Little Five Points.

The closest MARTA station is Inman Park station on the blue/green rail line, however the station exit near the park is closed for renovation until approximately March 2019. Choose from these alternatives:

Bus

For easiest access, board bus 6 at the Inman Park station, which has a stop next to the park. Bus 6 also connects with the Lindbergh Center Station on the red/gold rail line. It is free to ride the bus if you are transferring from a train.

Bus 16 departs from Five Points and downtown Atlanta and also stops near the park and bike trail near the Jimmy Carter Presidential Library.

Bike

If you have a bike, follow the above directions to reach the PATH, but cross over Euclid Avenue and North Highland Avenue while on the trail. At this point the PATH merges with another trail near the Carter Center. Keep to the right and the bike path will take you straight to the park.
