MARTA to the Blue Grassroots Music and Arts Festival

The Stone Mountain Village Blue Grassroots Music and Art Festival is a yearly event in March at the Stone Mountain Village. There’s street music jams and contra dancing in addition to bluegrass musicians on stage, an arts and crafts show and a children’s area.

To get there on MARTA, take bus 121 from the Kensington MARTA Station on the blue rail line. If you are traveling from the red/gold rail line, such as from downtown or midtown, transfer at the Five Points Station to the eastbound train platform and get on a train marked “Indian Creek”.

The bus ride is about 35 minutes — the Stone Mountain Village is at the end of the route. Use the OneBusAway app for real-time arrivals.

If you don’t want to take a bus, connect with a car service such as Uber or Lyft at the Avondale or Kensington MARTA station. Use promo code MARTAGuide for $20 your first ride with Uber.
