The Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Christmas Parade takes place in December with floats, giant balloons, marching bands and the arrival of Santa on Peachtree Street. Breakfast with Santa and bleacher seats are also available for a fee.
There are two MARTA stations that provide easy access to the parade route:
At 15th Street and West Peachtree Street, the Arts Center MARTA station provides access to the start of the parade at 16th Street. Take the 15th Street exit out of the station and turn left on 15th and walk less than a block to Peachtree Street.
The Midtown MARTA station is on 10th Street near the middle of the parade route. Take the main exit out of the station and turn right on 10th Street and walk less than a block. This route is less hilly than at the Arts Center station.
If you’re commuting from the east side of Piedmont Park, use the BeltLine Trail or The PATH to the BeltLine and to 10th Street for a bike lane to Peachtree Street.
- For a hot drink, head to Panera Bread at 12th and Peachtree Street or Starbucks near West Peachtree and 14th Street, in Colony Square or 7th and Peachtree
- The closest MARTA parking to the parade is at the Lindbergh Center MARTA station on the red/gold line.
- Trains run every 20 minutes on the weekend. Use the MARTA on the Go App for real-time train arrivals to plan your return trip to the station to avoid a long wait.
- Live in West Midtown? Hop on bus 12 on 10th Street or Howell Mill Road to reach the Midtown MARTA station.
