The Atlanta Arts Festival takes place in Piedmont Park on the second weekend after Labor Day. The festival features an artist market, live music and food around the active oval near 14th Street and Piedmont Avenue. The nearest MARTA stations are Arts Center and Midtown on the red/gold rail line.

From Arts Center

The Arts Center Station will put you a little closer to the festival market if you are walking. Take the West Peachtree Street exit out of the station and turn left on West Peachtree Street. Walk one block and turn left on 14th Street and take that all the way to the park, about three blocks.

From Midtown

Or, you can exit at the Midtown Station and take 10th Street down to the park. It is approximately a 10-minute walk to the edge of the park, and you’ll have to walk an additional 5-10 minutes to reach the artist market. Take the 10th Street and turn right and walk about three blocks.

Three buses will also put you next to the park if you don’t want to walk the 10-15 minute distance from or to the train. All buses depart from the Midtown station:

  • Bus 36 goes down 10th Street and then to Virginia Highland and Emory
  • Bus 109 also goes down 10th Street and then south on Monroe Drive
  • Bus 27 has a stop just outside the 14th Street park entrance, which is right next to the festival.  You can also board this bus at the Lindbergh Center Station.

For real-time bus arrivals, use the OneBusAway website or app. The MARTA on the Go app has printed schedules, or look up routes online.
