BaconFest is annual fundraiser for Dad’s Garage Theatre Company. The event is full of bacon, beer and bands… sometimes even Kevin Bacon.

The event takes places at 569 Ezzard St SE in Old Fourth Ward. There are a few car-free commute options:

Walk

The closest MARTA station to BaconFest is King Memorial on the blue/green rail line, which is just under 15 minutes away on foot. Exit the station and cross over Decatur Street at the stoplight and turn right. Walk about two blocks and turn left on Bradley Street.

Bike – Edgewood Avenue

The Edgewood Avenue bike lane travels near the event — connect with it in downtown Atlanta or next to the Inman Park MARTA station. As a bonus, you can rent Relay Bikes at the Inman Park station if you need a bike. Download the Social Bicycles app to view bike docks/reserve a bike and call 678-710-9900 to set up your membership, either hourly or a low monthly fee for ride time each day of the month.

From the MARTA station, follow the signs pointing to Inman Park to exit the station and walk through the bus bay to reach the bikes and Edgewood Avenue. Ride on the Edgewood bike lane to Bradley Street and turn left on Bradley. (If you rent a Relay bike, dock it at the intersection of Randolph and Edgewood). Bike time is only five minutes.

Bike or Walk – BeltLine

From the BeltLine, exit the trail at the Edgewood Avenue bridge and walk or bike toward the downtown skyline to reach Bradley Street. A Relay Bike dock is also available on Edgewood at the BeltLine, so you can dock there after getting off the trail and walk five minutes to the event.
