The Avondale MARTA station is near downtown Decatur at 915 E. Ponce de Leon Avenue. On the blue rail line, the station sits a residential area with a few restaurants and stores in walking distance. New apartment buildings are conveniently next to the station if you are looking for a place to live, and as a bonus, one of the buses at the station travels to the Dekalb Farmers Market.
Take a blue line train to Avondale. If your starting station is on the red or gold line, go to the Five Points Station and look for signs pointing to the Eastbound train platform. Board a train marked “Indian Creek.”
Train service starts around 5 a.m. on weekdays and 6 a.m. on weekends. As of March 30, 2020, train frequency is every 20 minutes until further notice. Use the MARTA on the Go app or marta.io for real-time train arrivals or view temporary train schedules.

There is a free daily parking lot off of E. Ponce de Leon Avenue.
