The Margaret Mitchell House and Museum is a short walk away from the Midtown MARTA station on the red and gold line. Tours of the apartment where Margaret Mitchell wrote “Gone With the Wind” are regularly offered along with special events.
Transit Directions
- Take any red or gold line train to the Midtown station (all trains from airport and downtown stop here). If traveling from the blue or green, transfer at the Five Points MARTA station to the first northbound train.
- After arriving at the station, use the central stairs/escalators/elevators to go to street level (avoid the Federal Reserve stairwell exit).
- Exit the station on 10th Street (look for signs).
- Turn right on 10th Street. The house is on the next corner.
Bus 40 also stops on Peachtree Street near the Margaret Mitchell House.
