MARTA to the CDC

The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) at the Emory University campus  (1600 Clifton Road) is closest to the Lindbergh Center MARTA station on the red and gold rail line. However, it is not in walking distance from the station. Choose from the following commute options:

MARTA + Uber

Take a red or gold line train, including any train from the airport, to the Lindbergh Center MARTA station. You can request an Uber or Lyft car or connect with a taxi there.

MARTA Bus

Bus 6 departs from the Inman Park and Lindbergh Center MARTA stations. This route goes completely through Emory on Clifton Road and also has a stop at the Emory Village. Exit at Clifton and Houston Mill Road for the closest access to the CDC. Or tell the bus driver your destination. It is free to transfer from the train to a bus.

Cliff Shuttle

The free CCTMA Cliff Shuttle is another option. You can board the shuttle at the Decatur Station bus bay (Swanton Way exit out of the station). Look for the Cliff Shuttle sign.

Bike

The closest and safest station for biking to the CDC is the Candler Park MARTA station on the blue/green rail line. Clifton Road is nearby. The ride is just under 30 minutes. See map and biking directions here.
