MARTA to the Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport (Domestic Terminals)

The Hartsfield-Jackson Airport is Atlanta’s major airport off of I-85 and MARTA’s red and gold rail lines. The Airport MARTA station is conveniently in the airport at the end of baggage claim, where you’ll find fare vending machines, RideStores and ticketing kiosks for Delta and Southwest.

Directions To the Airport on MARTA

All southbound red and gold trains (except the red line after 8:30 p.m.) travel to the airport. If you are commuting from the blue or green rail line, transfer to a southbound train at the Five Points station.

Once at the station, a stairway and escalator lead down to the airport entrance where you’ll find a MARTA RideStore. Next the station is also access to ground transportation, where there is a shuttle to the international terminal. Keep left for Southwest/AirTran check-in kiosks and right for Delta kiosks.

Parking

Several MARTA stations provide overnight parking for $5 or $8/day depending on the station, which is cheaper. Learn about long-term MARTA parking or compare and reserve parking at the airport. Keep in mind that MARTA is a better value if you plan to leave your car more than a couple days (factoring in the $5 round-trip MARTA fare in addition to the parking rates).

Helpful Tips

  • Hang on to your Breeze card (which you can purchase at any train station). You can add more fare to the card and use it on your return trip.
  • Use the MARTA on the Go app for real-time train arrivals or view train schedules. Trains are every 20 minutes on weekends and holidays and every 10-minutes during weekday peak hours.
  • If you aren’t in walking distance to a MARTA station, consider using Uber or Lyft to get to your nearest one.
