The Peachtree Road Race is held each year on July 4 and starts in front of Lenox Square Mall.  There are several MARTA stations near the start line as well as a bus shuttle. Train service starts just before 5 a.m. with a frequency of every 12 minutes. View options below for getting to and from the race.

Peachtree Road Race Start

Lenox Station

Take a gold line train to the Lenox Station and follow the  “To Mall” exit off the train platform. Walk straight out of the station and up Lenox Road.

Buckhead Station

Take a red line train to the Buckhead Station and take the Peachtree Road pedestrian tunnel exit out of the station and turn right on Peachtree Road at street level.

Bus Shuttle

If you don’t want to wait for a train at Lindbergh Center, you can board a shuttle bus to the start of the race at the north end of the station on Morosgo Drive. However, if you park at Lindbergh Center, you won’t get free validated parking if you ride the shuttle bus.

Lindbergh Center Parking

The best place to park your car and ride the train is at the Lindbergh Center MARTA station at 2424 Piedmont Avenue.  There are three free parking decks and all northbound trains from this station are one stop away from the start of the race.  Just remember to take your parking ticket with you so you can validate it inside the station on your return trip. For other good parking locations, see the link at the bottom of the page.

Finish Line

The end of the race is at Piedmont Park at 10th and Charles Allen. If you need to get back to your car or other destination, the closest train station is the Midtown Station at 41 10th Street (see area map). All northbound trains at this station go to Lindbergh and all southbound trains go to Five Points. Bus shuttles will also be available to take runners to Lindbergh Center.

Runners are often directed to walk on 9th or 8th Street to the Midtown MARTA station due to 10th Street being closed for the race. The Midtown MARTA station is also accessible at the end of 8th Street. Plan to walk 20-25 minutes to return to the station.

  • MARTA trains will run every 12 minutes start just before 5 a.m. (use the MARTA on the Go app for real-time arrivals)
  • Purchase a roundtrip fare at the start of your trip if you plan to use MARTA after the race. You can purchase a Breeze card with fare at any MARTA station in advance to avoid lines and to avoid slowing down the credit processing in the Breeze machines.
  • If you are new to Uber, use promo code MARTAGuide to get $20 off your first ride after the race to return to your car or get a ride home.
