Morningside is a residential Atlanta neighborhood just north of Virginia Highland.  It contains a small commercial area on N. Highland Avenue with restaurants and businesses, and on Saturday mornings a farmer’s market.  Highlights include Rosebud, Family Dog, Alon’s Bakery and Natural Body Day Spa.  The neighborhood isn’t a near a MARTA rail station, but bus 16 and bus 36 go to the neighborhood.  You can board bus 36 at the Midtown or Avondale Stations or bus 16 at Five Points.

Helpful Tips

• Bus 36 doesn’t run very late in the evening, so plan your trip accordingly.
• Family Dog has live music on Thursday, Saturday and Sunday nights.
• More restaurants and shops are located south on N. Highland Avenue in the Virginia Highland neighborhood.
