Most people going to a Braves Game take the Braves Shuttle from the Five Points MARTA station, but there are other ways to get to Turner Field as well. The closest MARTA station to Turner Field is actually the Georgia State station and it is about a 25 minute walk to the stadium. From the station, exit onto Piedmont Avenue then turn left and walk south toward the Capitol and you will run right into the stadium.
You can also avoid the Braves Shuttle crowd by taking a regular MARTA bus to the stadium. Two routes, Bus 17 (Georgia State Station) and Bus 55 (Five Points Station) go by Turner Field. They won’t be running as frequently as the shuttle, but if you plan ahead and know what time the bus departs from the station, then it gives you another alternative.

The Braves Shuttle departs outside the Five Points Station. If you are coming from the east or west on MARTA, just follow the signs to street level once you exit the train. If you are coming from the north or south, you need to be more careful of signage, as not all escalators go up to street level.
For instance, if you exit into the center of the train platform at Five Points there are three escalators, one to the East/West rail line and two up to street level. They are clearly marked, but save yourself some time by taking the escalators marked “To Street”.
If you exit a north or southbound train to the outside of the platform you’ll find the elevators, so if you are with a bike, have a stroller or wheelchair, be sure to exit on the outside platforms, or in other words, avoid the center.
The station has plenty of signs directing patrons to the shuttles once you reach street level. You will have to walk through Underground Atlanta to get to the shuttle pick up. If you need an elevator, take the Peachtree Street exit completely out of the station, cross over Peachtree and there will be a pavilion on the corner with an elevator down to Underground Atlanta.
If you don’t want to wait in line for the Braves Shuttle, you can also walk to Turner Field from the Georiga State MARTA Station. Exit onto Piedmont Avenue from the station and walk south (toward the capitol) for approximately 25 minutes.
