East Point MARTA Station

The East Point MARTA station is on the south, red and gold rail line, near downtown East Point at 2848 East Main Street. In walking distance is a small downtown area with restaurants and businesses, and the John D. Milner Athletic Complex.

Lakewood/Ft. McPherson MARTA Station

The Lakewood/Ft. McPherson MARTA station at 2020 Lee Street SW is on the red and gold rail line, in between the airport and downtown Atlanta.  The area is primarily residential and located next to the Columbia at Sylvan Hills apartment community.  The main area attractions are Ft. McPherson and Aaron’s Amphitheatre at Lakewood.

Directions To get to the Lakewood/Ft. McPherson station, you must be on the red/gold rail line.  All trains from the airport and all southbound trains stop at this station.  If you are coming from the blue/green rail line, you must exit at the Five Points Station and transfer to a southbound train.

Parking There are over 1,000 free parking spots for daily use (no overnight parking).

Buses Buses that leave the station go to Aaron’s Amphitheatre at Lakewood, the Barge Road Park and Ride, Greenbriar Mall and other destinations. View the bus route list here.

West End MARTA Station

The West End MARTA station is on the red/gold rail line at 680 Lee Street SW. Near downtown Atlanta, the historic neighborhood includes a mall, restaurants, churches, parks and the Joel Chandler Harris House, also known as The Wren’s Nest. The station also provides access to the Atlanta University Center via walking or the Atlanta University Center Shuttle.

Directions

All red and gold line trains stop at this station, including all trains that depart the airport and downtown Atlanta. If you are traveling from the blue or green line, travel to the Five Points station and transfer to the first southbound train and ride south for two stops.

Parking

There are over 500 free, daily parking spaces off of Lee Street.

Buses

Buses that depart from this station go to West Lake, Campbellton Plaza, Adams Park and travel on Metropolitan Parkway and Cascade Road. See the list of bus routes with schedules.

Vine City MARTA Station

The Vine City MARTA station is located at  502 Rhodes Street NW next to the Georgia Dome on the blue and green rail line. The station is on the edge of the downtown event and cultural district and a residential area.

What’s Nearby
The Georgia Dome is across the street from the station. The Herdon Home Museum and Herdon Stadium are also in close walking distance, and just south of the station on the other side of Martin Luther King Jr. Drive is Clark Atlanta University.

Directions
All blue and green trains stop at this station. If you are coming from the red or gold line, exit at the Five Points station and board the first westbound train. Vine City is two stops away.

Parking
There are 27 free daily parking spots at this station. The Ashby station one stop down has large parking lots and is the closest option for parking and riding to the Georgia Dome.

Buses
No MARTA buses connect with this station.

Commute Time
Travel time to the Five Points station is two minutes. The commute to or from the airport is 18-38 minutes depending on transfer wait and time of day. Trains run every 20 minutes after 7 p.m. and on the weekends.

Kensington MARTA Station

The Kensington MARTA Station is located at 3350 Kensington Road (Decatur) on the blue rail line.  It is an above ground station in residential area east of Atlanta where Memorial Drive and Highway 278 intersect.

What’s Nearby
The area is primarily residential. In walking distance is also the Dekalb County offices, Covington Branch library and Rite Aid pharmacy.

Directions
To get to the station you must be on a blue line train. If you are coming from the red or gold line, travel to the Five Points station and follow the signs to the Eastbound train platform and board an “Indian Creek” train.

Parking
There are multiple, large parking lots. Long-term parking is available for $5/day.

Buses
Several MARTA bus routes depart from the station and travel to Stone Mountain and on Panola Road, Glenwood Road, Rockbridge Road, Kensington Road and Memorial Drive. View the bus routes and schedules here.

Georgia State MARTA Station

The Georgia State MARTA Station is located at 170 Piedmont Avenue SE on the blue and green rail line.  It is an above ground, elevated station in downtown Atlanta near several major attractions.

What’s Nearby
Next to the MARTA station is Grady Hospital and the Georgia State University campus, including easy access to the recreation center, sports arena and Petit Science Center. Other nearby destinations include the Sweet Auburn Curb Market, Georgia Capitol and Turner Field.  Places to eat include Waffle House and Willy’s Mexicana Grill (View all nearby destinations here.)

Directions
To get to the station you must be on a blue or green line train, which runs east and west through Atlanta.  If you are coming from the red or gold line, travel to the Five Points station and follow the signs to the Eastbound train platform and board the first train that arrives.  Via car, Martin Luther King Jr. Drive to Piedmont Avenue, which is a one-way street heading north.

Airport MARTA Station

The Airport MARTA Station is located at the end of the red and gold rail lines, and is directly connected to the Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport Domestic Terminal.  The station features a RideStore and Delta check-in kiosks.  Just outside the station is access to ground transportation including the International Terminal shuttle and the SkyTrain (which provides access to two hotels at the Gateway Center, Georgia International Convention Center and the rental car center.

Directions
Almost all southbound trains travel to the station, which is the last stop.  The only exception is in the evening after 7 p.m. — if you are departing from the North Springs, Sandy Springs, Dunwoody, Medical Center or Buckhead MARTA stations, the southbound train only travels as far as the Lindbergh Center station.  Passengers have to wait for the next southbound train, which is typically only a couple minutes wait.

If you are departing from a station on the blue or green rail line, travel to the Five Points station and follow the signs to the Southbound train platform.

Parking
There is no parking or direct passenger pick up/drop off at the station, but long-term parking options are available at several MARTA stations and at the airport.

Buses
No buses depart this station.  The station does provide direct access to shuttles that travel to airport hotels and to downtown, midtown and Buckhead.

Dome/GWCC/Philips Arena/CNN Center MARTA Station

The Dome/GWCC/Philips Arena/CNN Center MARTA station is located at 100 Centennial Olympic Park Drive in downtown Atlanta, on the blue and green rail lines, just one stop away from downtown Atlanta’s Five Points Station.

What’s Nearby
The station is next to Philips Arena, Georgia World Congress Center and the Georgia Dome (with direct access from the train platform to the Dome).  A short walk away is the CNN Center, Omni Hotel and Centennial Olympic Park.

Directions
If you are coming from the airport or in the north of the city on the red or gold line, take the first available train to the Five Points Station and follow the signs to the Westbound platform.  Get on the first Westbound train that arrives (Bankhead or H.E. Holmes) and ride the train one stop.  If you are coming from the blue or green rail line, no need to transfer.

Parking
There is no MARTA parking at this station.  The next closest stations for parking are the Vine City and Ashby stations.

Buses
There are no bus routes that connect with this station.

It takes one minute to get to the Five Points station and 17-27 minutes to/from the airport, depending on how long it takes to transfer trains at the Five Points station.  After 7 p.m. and on weekends, trains arrive every 20 minutes.

College Park MARTA Station

The College Park MARTA station is located at 3800 Main Street on the red/gold rail line, one stop away from Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport (see area map).  All northbound and southbound trains stop at this station.

What’s Nearby
The area is an interesting mix of a historic district with parks, a golf course, residential areas and undeveloped land.  The historic downtown College Park is in walking distance from the station, where you can find several shops and restaurants. Off Main Street there is also a U.S. Post Office, SunTrust bank, College Park Public Library and College Park City Hall.  Hotel Indigo and the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration building are next to the station.  If you need a vehicle, Enterprise Rent-a-Car is also nearby on Main Street.  Partly due to its proximity to the airport, there are many fences and parking lots in the mix (I-85 runs almost next to the station, with the airport on the other side.)  The Georgia International Convention Center is also near the station, though best to take a bus.

There is a large free daily parking lot and long-term parking in a garage for $8/day.

Buses that depart from the station travel near the Georgia International Convention Center and on roads such as Camp Creek Parkway, Sylvan Road, Flat Shoals Road and Old National Highway.  See a full list of bus routes here.

Garnett MARTA Station

The Garnett MARTA Station is located at 225 Peachtree Street SW on the red and gold rail line, just one stop south of Five Points (see map) in downtown Atlanta.

What’s Nearby
The Greyhound Bus Terminal is next to the station.  Atlanta City Hall, Traffic Court, Gateway Center and the Castleberry Hill neighborhood are also nearby.  It is a very urban area, and MARTA riders should use caution.

Parking
There is no parking at this station.

Buses
There are no buses at this station, but bus 42 and 155 can be boarded about a block away.  Greyhound buses are located next to the station, where you can also board Southeastern Stages for transit service from Atlanta to Athens, GA.

It takes one minute to get to Five Points and 15 minutes to the airport.

King Memorial MARTA Station

The King Memorial MARTA station is located at 377 Decatur Street SE, on the blue and green rail line.  It is an urban station near downtown Atlanta next to Oakland Cemetery, Pencil Factory Lofts, Cabbagetown, Memorial Drive and the Martin Luther King Jr. Historic Site.

Directions
To get to the station on MARTA, you must be on a blue or green line train, which run east and west.  If you are coming from the north or south (such as the airport or North Springs/Doraville, you must exit at the Five Points Station and follow the signs to the Eastbound platform to transfer to the first eastbound train that arrives.

Parking
There is no public parking at this station, only short-term spots for passenger drop off and pick up.

Buses
Bus 21 departs from the station and travels away from downtown on Memorial Drive, providing access to Cabbagetown.  Weekdays on alternating trips, bus 99 also stops at this station and goes to the Georgia State station in one direction and past the King Memorial and up Boulevard to Piedmont Park and the Midtown Station.

It takes 3 minutes to get to Five Points and from Five Points, 16 minutes to the airport.

East Lake MARTA Station

The East Lake MARTA station is located on the blue rail line at 2260 College Avenue.  It is a residential area close to the City of Decatur and is the closest MARTA station to the Oakhurst neighborhood.

Directions
If you are coming from the red or gold rail lines, such as from the airport, you must exit at Five Points and follow the signs to the Eastbound platform.  Board a train labeled “Indian Creek” to get to the East Lake station.

Parking
There are two free daily parking lots, one north of the station off of East Lake Drive/Paden Circle and one off of College Avenue in the south.

Buses
Bus 24 (East Lake/Hosea Williams) and bus 86 (Fairington Road/McAfee Road) depart from this station.

Commute Times
It takes 11 minutes to get to downtown/Five Points and 29 to 44 minutes to the airport.

Candler Park MARTA Station

The Candler Park MARTA station is located on the blue/green rail line at 1475 Dekalb Avenue.  It is primarily a residential area next to the Candler Park and Edgewood neighborhoods.  Nearby attractions and restaurants include Candler Park (the park), Radial Cafe, Wall Crawlers rock climbing gym, Kashi Atlanta and the Flying Biscuit Cafe.  It is also the closest MARTA station to the Fernbank Museum of Natural History.  Regular festivals include the Sweetwater 420 Fest and the Candler Park Fall Fest.

Directions
If you are coming from the red or gold rail lines, such as from the airport, exit at the Five Points station and follow the signs to the Eastbound platform.  Board a train labeled “Candler Park” or “Indian Creek” to get to the Candler Park station.

Parking
There are 679 free daily parking spots, but no overnight parking.

Buses
Buses at this station go to Little Five Points, Poncey Highlands, Inman Park to the King Memorial/Downtown and to Kirkwood via Hosea Williams.  See the full list of bus routes here.

Sandy Springs MARTA Station

The Sandy Springs MARTA station is on the north, red rail line, just off I-285 and Ga. 400 at 1101 Mt. Vernon Highway. An underground station, it is located below a suburban commercial area and provides access to several office buildings and retail stores.

What’s Nearby
The station is next to the Northpark Town Center as well as a movie theater and several restaurants.  The nearest hotel is Embassy Suites and several condo and apartment buildings are in walking distance.

Directions
If you are coming from the airport, be sure you are on a train labeled “North Springs” in order to get to this station.  If traveling after 7 p.m., you must go to the Lindbergh Center station on the first available northbound train, exit, and wait for the North Springs train there.

Parking
There is free daily parking and long-term parking for $5/day.

Buses
Buses that leave from this station travel around the Perimeter Center and to the Medical Center and onto outside 285 at Northside Drive.

Commute Time
It takes 25 minutes to get to downtown Atlanta/Five Points and 41 minutes to the airport.

Civic Center MARTA Station

The Civic Center MARTA station is located at 435 West Peachtree Street, in between downtown and midtown.  Red and gold line trains stop at the station, including all trains departing the airport.

What’s Nearby
The station is next to the Twelve Hotel and near Emory University Hospital Midtown, the W Hotel, Inn at the Peachtrees, Hyatt Place and several nice restaurants including Room and BLT Steak.  The Atlanta Civic Center and Georgia Aquarium  are also nearby, but you will have to walk about four blocks to get there (see area map). Be advised that when walking across town toward the Civic Center, take Ivan Allen Jr. and not Pine Street.  Pine Street has a homeless shelter and isn’t as nice of a walk.

Parking
There is no parking at the station.  A lane is available for passenger drop off and pick up on the southbound side of West Peachtree Street.

Buses
There are no MARTA buses that connect with this station, but the MegaBus drops off and picks up passengers at street level, on the northbound side of the street. The MegaBus offers inexpensive rides to other cities, including Charlotte, Chattanooga, Jacksonville, Orlando and Nashville.

Long-term MARTA Parking

Medical Center MARTA Station

The Medical Center MARTA station is located at 5711 Peachtree Dunwoody Road, next to Northside Hospital, Scottish Rite Hospital and St. Joseph’s Hospital (see map).  There are two hotels nearby, the Courtyard Atlanta Glenridge and Westin Atlanta Perimeter North Hotel.

Directions
The Medical Center station is on the red line, so you must be on a northbound train marked “North Springs” to get to this station if you are coming from the south, such as the airport or downtown.  If you are coming from Doraville, Chamblee, Brookhaven or Lenox, go south to Lindbergh Center, exit the train and wait for a North Springs train at that station.  Or, if coming from the east-west rail line, exit at Five Points and follow the signs to the Northbound platform and wait for a North Springs train.  Via car, this station is off I-285 at exit 26 Glenridge Drive (eastbound only) or exit 28 Peachtree Dunwoody Road (westbound only).  From Georgia 400, it is exit 3.

There are 200 free daily parking spaces.

Buses
One bus departs from the station, bus 148, that travels to Northside Drive and North Parkway via I-285.

Weekends and after 7 p.m., trains run every 20 minutes.  At other times, the trains operate about every 15 minutes. It takes 20 minutes to get to Five Points and 36 minutes to the airport.

Avondale MARTA Station

The Avondale MARTA station is just outside of downtown Decatur on the east-west rail line at 915 E. Ponce de Leon Avenue (see area map).  There are free daily parking lots off of E. Ponce de Leon Avenue and College Avenue.

What’s Nearby
It is mainly a residential area, though there is a collection of businesses and restaurants in East Decatur Station off of College Avenue.  The Dekalb Farmers Market is about a 25 minute walk away.

Buses
Bus routes travel down E. Ponce de Leon to Tucker, to Emory/medical centers, North Dekalb Mall, North Druid Hills and Columbia Drive (see listing of bus routes).

Directions
If you are coming from the airport, downtown, midtown or otherwise north/south of the city, you must take the train to the Five Points station and follow the signs to the Eastbound platform.  From there, board the train marked “Indian Creek” to get to the Avondale station.  Otherwise, all trains departing from the Indian Creek station will stop at Avondale.

Commute Time
It takes 15 minutes to get to Five Points and 31-51 minutes to get to the airport.

Five Points MARTA Station

The Five Points MARTA station is located at the center of downtown Atlanta at 30 Alabama Street.  It has station entrances off of Alabama, Peachtree and Forsyth Streets (see area map).  It is also the only station that has access to both the north-south and east-west rail lines and is two stories deep underground, with the red/gold lines  that travel north and south on the lowest level and the blue/green lines that travel east and west just below street level.

What’s Nearby
Nearby landmarks include Georgia State University, Underground Atlanta, Woodruff Park, Fairlie-Poplar Historic District and City Hall.

Parking
There is no parking at this station and passenger pick-up is not easy or ideal, though the Forsyth Street exit is the best location for dropping off or picking up.

Buses
All trains stop at Five Points and there are numerous bus routes that connect with this station, which travel to destinations such as Sweet Auburn, Virginia Highlands, MLK Jr. Drive,  Turner Field,  southeast Atlanta and Grant Park/Zoo Atlanta.  In addition there is access to the Braves Shuttle and an express route to Lithonia.

Chamblee MARTA Station

The NE 9 Chamblee MARTA station is located on the northeast/gold line, at 5200 New Peachtree Road, near the intersection with Chamblee Tucker Road and next to the Dekalb Peachtree airport (see area map).  There are over 1,700 free parking spaces and buses that depart from this station travel on Briarcliff/Shallowford Road, I-85 access road, New Peachtree Road, Tilly Mill, Ashford Dunwoody to Perimeter Mall and to Mercer University and Northlake Mall.  The International Farmer’s Market is also in walking distance from the station.

To get to the Chamblee station you must be on a train labeled “Doraville”.  You can get on a Doraville train at any point from the airport to the N6 Lindbergh station.  If you are coming from the east-west rail line, you must exit at Five Points and follow the signs to the Northbound platform and wait for a Doraville train.

It takes 22 minutes to get to Five Points/downtown from this station, and 38 minutes to the airport.

Lenox MARTA Station

The Lenox MARTA Station is located at 955 East Paces Ferry at the intersection with Lenox Road, right across from Lenox Square Mall and the J.W. Marriott Hotel (see map).

What’s Nearby
The station is on the edge of the Buckhead/Lenox retail district and there are several office and apartment buildings nearby along with a few restaurants and retail stores. Phipps Plaza and Lenox Square are in walking distance, and this is also the main station exit for the Peachtree Road Race that occurs every Fourth of July.

Directions
To get to the Lenox Station, you must be on a gold-line  train labeled “Doraville”.  The Lindbergh MARTA station is your main transfer point to a Doraville train, so whether you are coming from downtown or from North Springs, exit at Lindbergh and wait for a northbound, Doraville train.  If you are coming from the airport with luggage, it is better to wait at the airport station for a Doraville train to avoid any transfers.

There is a small, free daily parking lot off of East Paces Ferry Road and paid long-term parking at $5/day.

Buses
Buses that depart from this station go up Peachtree Industrial/Oglethorpe University, I-85 Access Road,  and down Peachtree Street all the way to Five Points (see the full list of bus routes).

The Arts Center Station is located at 1255 West Peachtree Street at the intersection of West Peachtree and 15th Street. It is next to the Woodruff Arts Center, and less than a 15-minute walk away is also Piedmont Park and Atlantic Station.  Other area attractions include Center Stage, Center for Puppetry Arts, Whole World Theatre, Colony Square and several nightlife clubs and restaurants.

Directions
To get to the Arts Center station, you must be on the north/south rail line (red and gold).  All trains from the airport and downtown stop at the Arts Center as well as all trains from the north.  If you are coming from the blue/green rail line, you must exit at the Five Points Station and transfer to a Northbound train to reach this station.

Parking
There are 33 free, daily parking spaces.  The parking area is currently closed and under construction.

Buses

Buckhead MARTA Station

The  Buckhead MARTA Station is located on on the red rail line at 3360 Peachtree Road, next to GA 400 and across from the Atlanta Financial Center (see area map).  With easy access to Lenox Mall, Phipps Plaza and several hotels and nice restaurants, staying around the Buckhead Station is a good option for direct access to shopping/dining and still have a 15-minute or less train ride to attractions in Midtown and downtown.

Directions
The closest highway exit is Lenox Road off of GA 400.  Or if traveling by MARTA, you must be on a red line train (labeled “North Springs” if coming from the south) to reach the Buckhead station.  If coming from the east or west lines, exit at Five Points and follow the signs to the Northbound platform to get to a “North Springs” train.

Be advised that after 7 pm, you can only get to a “North Springs” train at the Lindbergh station.  So if you are coming from the airport, downtown or midtown, merely get on the first northbound train that arrives and exit at Lindbergh and wait for the “North Springs” train.

Parking
There is no parking at this station, but there is a drop off/pick area  for passengers, though traffic can be heavy in the area, especially at rush hour.

Buses
There is only one bus route that connects with this station, bus 110 “The Peach”, which travels all the way up and down Peachtree Street from Five Points to Lenox Mall.  The free Buc Shuttle also has a stop at the station.

Inman Park MARTA Station

The Inman Park MARTA Station is on the east rail line, two miles from downtown Atlanta (see area map) at 1055 Dekalb Avenue.  Area landmarks include Little 5 Points, Edgewood Shopping Center, Reynoldstown, Freedom Park/PATH trail and the Inman Park Historic District, which features turn-of-the-century Victorian mansions and Civil War markers.  The yearly Inman Park Festival is one of the largest in the city, if not the largest, and features home tours, artist market, live music and a parade.

Directions
If you are coming from the north or south rail lines, you must exit at Five Points and follow the signs to the Eastbound platform to reach Inman Park.  All eastbound trains go to this station.   The station also features large free daily parking lots on both the Inman Park and Reynoldstown sides of the tracks — good places to park if you are heading downtown to an event.  It is safer on the Inman Park side, and it is recommended to not walk on the Reynoldstown side after dark.

Brookhaven MARTA Station

The Brookhaven MARTA station is located at 4047 Peachtree Road NE, just north of Lenox Square Mall and near Oglethorpe University (see area map).  There are several apartment buildings, condos and retail/grocery stores nearby.

Directions
To get to the Brookhaven Station from the airport, downtown or midtown, you must board a gold line train labeled “Doraville”.   If you are coming from the blue or green rail line, you must exit at Five Points and transfer to a northbound Doraville train to get to Brookhaven.

Long-term MARTA Parking

Decatur MARTA Station

The Decatur MARTA station is located in downtown Decatur, just off the Decatur Square and near Agnes Scott College at 400 Church Street.  It is one of the safest and most walkable MARTA stations and has many restaurants, residential and commercial buildings in close walking distance (see area map).

Directions
To get to Decatur on the train, you must be on an eastbound train labeled “Indian Creek”.  If you are coming from the north or south lines, you must exit at Five Points and follow the signs to the Eastbound platform to catch the Indian Creek train. The major cross streets for this station are E. Ponce de Leon Aveune and Church Street, and there is a passenger drop off/pick up location off of Church Street.

Inside the Station
There are two exits out of the station:  Swanton Way and Church Street.  The Swanton Way exit takes you to the buses and is closer to locations such as Eddie’s Attic and Taco Mac.  The Church Street exit is on the east side and is next to Java Monkey, Yogurt Tap, Leon’s and is the best route to get to Agnes Scott, Twain’s and other venues on the back side of Decatur.

Buses
Buses that depart this station go to both North and South Dekalb Malls, and also Cabbagetown and up Clairmont Road past the VA Hospital (see the list of bus routes).  The free CCTMA Cliff Shuttle to the CDC/Emory campus also departs here.

Parking
There is no parking at the Decatur station, however, the stations on either side of Decatur have free daily parking (Avondale and East Lake).

Hamilton E. Holmes MARTA Station

The Hamilton E. Holmes Station (or H.E. Holmes) is the last stop on the west, blue line at 70 Hamiliton E. Holmes Drive.  It is near I-20 and not too far from I-285 (see area map).  It was originally called the Hightower Station, but was changed in honor of civil-rights hero Hamilton E. Holmes.

What’s Nearby
The area is primarily residential, with several apartment communities, including one senior living comunity, in walking distance from the station. There are also a few small shopping centers and fast food restaurants along with Frederick Douglass High School and Peyton Forest Elementary School.

Directions
To get to the H.E. Holmes station, you must be on a westbound, blue line train marked “H.E. Holmes”.  If you are coming from the north or south lines, you must exit at the Five Points Station and follow the signs to the Westbound platform.  On the weekend the blue line train runs every 15 minutes, 12 minutes during rush hour and 20 minutes off-peak weekdays.

North Avenue MARTA Station

The North Avenue MARTA station is located at 713 West Peachtree Street, north of downtown Atlanta and south of the Midtown business district. There are two station entrances, one at North Avenue and West Peachtree Street, the other on 3rd Street near the intersection with West Peachtree Street.

The Indian Creek MARTA station is the very end of the blue line at 3901 Durham Park Road, near I-285 on the east side of the city (see map).

Directions
To get to the Indian Creek Station on MARTA, you must be on an east-west, blue line train labeled “Indian Creek”.  If you are coming from the airport or from the north line, exit at the Five Points Station and follow the signs to the Eastbound platform.  By car, look for exit 42 on I-285E.

Peachtree Center MARTA Station

The Peachtree Center MARTA Station is located in downtown Atlanta at 216 Peachtree Street NE.   The station is famous for having some of the longest escalators in the Southeast, and is the furthest underground out of all the other rail stations.

What’s Nearby
As one of the most walkable MARTA stations, you can walk to attractions like the Georgia Aquarium, World of Coke and Centennial Olympic Park in addition to many restaurants, nightlife venuesAmericasMart and Georgia State University.  There are also many hotels within a 15-minute walk of the station in a variety of price ranges and several rental car companies.

Directions
All trains departing from the airport and all trains going southbound go to the Peachtree Center Station.  If you are coming from the east/west rail line, then you must exit at the Five Points Station and transfer to a northbound train.

Buses/Parking
Because the station sits right along busy Peachtree Street, there are no MARTA bus routes that connect to this station.  However, GCT 101 to/from Buford has a stop outside the station at Baker and Peachtree Street.  Other regional buses have stops on Peachtree Center Avenue, one block over from the station. There is  no parking.

Dunwoody MARTA Station

The Dunwoody MARTA Station is located at the intersection of Hammond Drive and Perimeter Center Parkway, just outside of 285 next to Perimeter Mall.

What’s Nearby
In addition to the mall and retail stores, the Marriott Perimeter Center Hotel is the closest hotel in walking distance. Perimeter Place, a mixed-use retail and residential development, is at the north end of the mall (see area map). And several office buildings, including the Ravinia office park, are also nearby.

You must be on a red line train marked “North Springs” to reach the station. If you are traveling from the airport, downtown or midtown after 7 p.m., take the first available northbound train to the Lindbergh Center MARTA station and wait for the North Springs train there.

There is a large parking deck for free daily parking and long-term parking for $5/day at 78 Perimeter Center Parkway.

Buses

Midtown MARTA Station

The Midtown MARTA station is located at 41 10th Street between Peachtree and West Peachtree Street in the heart of Midtown Atlanta.  It provides easy access to Piedmont Park, Georgia Tech, nightclubs and restaurants.

Directions
You must be on the north-south (red or gold) rail line to get to the Midtown station.  All trains leaving from the airport stop at Midtown and all southbound trains also stop at this station.

Parking
There are only three handicapped parking spots, the rest are for taxis and dropping off or picking up passengers only.

Buses
Buses that depart from this station travel to Cumberland Mall, Virginia Highland, Piedmont Park/Botanical Gardens, Ansley Mall and Emory University.  See the bus route list.  Additionally, Cobb Community Transit/CCT bus 481 stops at the Federal Reserve side of the station and travels to the Town Center Park & Ride Lot.

North Springs MARTA Station

The North Springs MARTA Station is at the very end of the red/north line at 7010 Peachtree Dunwoody Road, just outside I-285 and along GA 400.

What’s Nearby
Ga. 400 runs next to the station, but you can only enter the station if you are traveling southbound, and can only re-enter Ga. 400 going northbound. Next to the station is also the Dunwoody Station apartment community and the rest of the surrounding area is residential and fairly suburban.   It is a 25-minute walk to the next MARTA station (Sandy Springs) where there is shopping and restaurants.

Transit Directions
To get to North Springs, you must be on a train labeled “North Springs”.  You can get on a North Springs train at the airport all the way up to the Lindbergh Station before 7pm.  After 7pm you must take the first available train (should be marked Doraville) to the Lindbergh MARTA station, then exit that train and wait for the North Springs train at Lindbergh.

Car Directions and Parking
When traveling via car, the North Springs station has its own exit (5C) off of Georgia 400 (see map).  You can only get to the station parking garage via the highway, otherwise there is a pick up/drop off area off of Peachtree Dunwoody Road. There is free daily parking in large parking garage along with long-term parking for $8/day.

Lindbergh Center MARTA Station

The Lindbergh Center MARTA station is located at 2424 Piedmont Road in between Midtown and Buckhead on the north/south rail line (see map).  It is the main transfer point between the two northbound trains,  Doraville (gold) and North Springs (red).  All trains departing from the airport and downtown go to Lindbergh.

What’s Nearby
Nearby attractions include the Lindbergh Center City, which has restaurants such as Taco Mac, LongHorn Steakhouse and Five Guys Burgers, as well as the Tongue and Groove and Gold night clubs.  Retail stores include Best Buy, Home Depot, Target and Marshall’s/Ross.  A good number of apartment communities are also in walking distance.

Parking
This station has three parking garages with free daily parking (your parking ticket must be validated in the MARTA station on your return trip) as well as $8/day long-term parking.  Just off I-85 and GA 400, the station is near the intersection of Sidney Marcus and Piedmont Avenue (see info/directions to the Lindbergh station parking decks).

Special Transfer Information
After 7 p.m., the Lindbergh station becomes the only station where you can board a North Springs train.  Be sure that if you are coming from the airport or downtown that you get on the first train that arrives and exit at Lindbergh for the North Springs train if you are going to Buckhead, Medical Center, Dunwoody, Sandy Springs or North Springs.

Doraville MARTA Station

The Doraville MARTA Station is the very last stop on the gold line, near 285 and Buford Highway at 6000 New Peachtree Road.

What’s Nearby
The area around the Doraville station is a mix of industrial and commercial buildings.  Across the street from the station is the Doraville City Hall, police department and public library.  Just over a block away is Buford Highway. There are several restaurants there along with the Comfort Inn and Conference Center Northeast.

Directions
To get to the station, you must board a train northbound that is marked “Doraville”.  You can get on a Doraville train at any point from the Airport Station to Lindbergh Center.  Make sure you look for a train that is labeled “Doraville”.

If you are coming from the North Springs/red line in the north, go south to the Lindbergh Center Station, exit, and wait for the next Doraville train.

Parking
There is free daily parking along New Peachtree Road in front of the station and long-term parking for $8/day via the Park Avenue parking entrance, which includes a parking garage for covered parking.

Buses
Several MARTA bus routes depart from the station and travel on Buford Highway (inside the perimeter) Peachtree Industrial and other nearby major roads.  Gwinnett County Transit buses 10, 20 and 35 also connect to the station.
