MARTA to Twelve Hotel & Residences Atlantic Station

The Twelve Hotel and Residences Atlantic Station is located at 361 17th Street NW, closest to the Arts Center station on the red/gold rail line.  Features include a fitness center, rooftop pool, business center and 24-hour concierge service.  Walking time is about 16 minutes, or board bus 37 or the free Atlantic Station shuttle at the station.  Both stop in the main Atlantic Station shopping district where the hotel is located.

If walking, take the West Peachtree Street exit out of the station and turn right on West Peachtree.  Walk about a block to 17th Street and turn left.  Walk over the bridge and Twelve will be on the right side of the street about two blocks down (see map below).

 Helpful Tips

  • Bus 37 runs every 40 minutes on weekdays and just over every hour on weekends.
  • The Atlantic Station shuttle runs every 15-30 minutes.
  • Nearby places to eat include Rosa Mexicano, Yard House, Strip, California Pizza Kitchen and the Atlantic Grill, along with a variety of casual and fast spots to grab a bite to eat.

MARTA to DoubleTree Atlanta Downtown

The DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Atlanta Downtown (formerly the Mariottt Atlanta Downtown) is located at 160 Spring Street NW, closest to the Peachtree Center MARTA Station.  The hotel features an outdoor swimming pool, business center and WiFi.

From MARTA, take a red or gold line train to the Peachtree Center Station.  If coming from the airport or Greyhound, board any northbound train.  From the Megabus, board a southbound train at the Civic Center Station.

Once exiting the train, follow the signs to the Harris Street exit, go through the fare gates, then follow signs again to Peachtree Street West.  At street level, turn right along Peachtree Street (passing Ray’s in the City and Fire of Brazil restaurants).  The first stoplight is Andrew Young International Blvd. (Hard Rock Cafe on the corner).  Turn right on Andrew Young International and walk about one block to reach the hotel, which is near a small park.

Nearby attractions include the Peachtree Center offices and mall, Centennial Olympic Park, Imagine It! Children’s Museum, Georgia Aquarium, Tabernacle and the World of Coca-Cola.

MARTA to Fairfield Inn and Suites Atlanta Downtown

Fairfield Inn and Suites Atlanta Downtown is located at 54 Peachtree Street SW, across the street from the Five Points Station. The hotel offers a free breakfast and an onsite fitness center.

To get there on MARTA, take any train, including any train at the airport, to the Five Points Station.  Take the Peachtree Street exit out of the station and merely cross the street to reach the hotel.

Area attractions include Underground Atlanta, Georgia State University, Georgia Capitol and the historic Fairlie Popular district.  Additionally, a large number of buses connect at this station, providing access to the Carter Center, Zoo Atlanta, Georgia Aquarium, World of Coca-Cola, Turner Field and the Virginia Highland and Inman Park neighborhoods. Most of the restaurants in the area are closed on the weekend, but being close to MARTA, guests can take the train or walk one stop up to Peachtree Center or to Midtown and Buckhead for other dining options.  Check Marietta Street and Underground Atlanta for weekend restaurants that are in walking distance.

MARTA to Atlanta Airport Hotels

There are numerous hotels surrounding the Atlanta airport.  While most of them have free shuttle service from the airport (look for the Purple Isle at Ground Transportation), MARTA is an additional option for getting there.  In addition to paying a fare to ride MARTA, getting to these hotels requires taking any red or gold MARTA train to the College Park Station and boarding a bus.  Be sure to check the schedules, as buses don’t run as frequently and end service before the trains.  If you aren’t sure where to get off the bus, just ask your bus driver for help. If he or she knows your destination, most will be able to stop at the proper location for you.

MARTA to Hotel Indigo Atlanta Airport-College Park

The Hotel Indigo Atlanta Airport/College Park is located in walking distance from the College Park MARTA station at 1776 Harvard Avenue (see area map).  Highlights include a business center, fitness center and event facilities.

The station is serviced by the red and gold line trains — all trains departing the airport stop at College Park.  Exit the station on Main Street and turn right.  Walk less than a block and turn right again on Harvard Avenue.  The hotel is down the street on the right.  Approximate walking time is 5 minutes.  There are not any neighboring restaurants, but there are some places to eat on the other side of Main Street — just walk down Harvard Avenue back toward the rail line.  The free Go Bus operates weekdays at lunchtime from the College Park station to this area.

The hotel  also provides a free shuttle to and from the airport as an alternative to riding MARTA.

MARTA to Residence Inn Atlanta Downtown

The Atlanta Downtown Residence Inn is located at 134 Peachtree Street NW, a short walk from the Peachtree Center Station on the red/gold rail line.  The hotel features free hot breakfast and free Internet, and is also pet-friendly. All trains departing the airport stop at this station and all southbound trains stop at this station.  Once at the station, follow the signs to the Ellis Street  exit.  After going through the fare gates, turn right and take the escalator up to street level (look for signs pointing to the public library).  At street level, walk straight ahead to enter Forsyth Street to reach the hotel, which is just across the street from the station and from the library.

Nearby attractions include the Rialto Center for Performing Arts, Fairlie Popular District, Woodruff Park, Hard Rock Cafe and the Tabernacle.

MARTA to Super 8 Decatur

The Super 8 Decatur is located at 917 Church Street, just a few blocks away from the Decatur MARTA Station.  The hotel features free parking and free continental breakfast.

On MARTA, take a blue line train to the Decatur Station.  If coming from downtown or the airport, you must exit at the Five Points Station and follow the signs to the Eastbound train platform.  Board an “Indian Creek” train to reach Decatur.  Once at the station, take the Church Street exit out of the station, turn left and walk about three blocks, which is about 10 minutes.

Bus 123 also departs the Decatur Station (take the Swanton Way exit out of the station) and has a stop near the hotel if you don’t want to walk.

  • A small Kroger is nearby if you need to do any shopping and  a public pool is one more block up Church Street at Glenlake Park.
  • On weekends and after 7pm, the trains run every 20 minutes.  Look up the train schedules online, through the MARTA app or get a printed copy at the Five Points Station so you can avoid long waits.
  • Bus 2 departs from the Decatur Station and travels to midtown Atlanta near some tourist attractions, including the Fernbank Museum of Natural History, Fox Theatre and The Varsity.  For the return trip, make sure you board a bus 2 marked with “Decatur Station”.

MARTA to the Courtyard Downtown Decatur

The Marriott Courtyard in downtown Decatur is the main hotel in the area at 130 Clairemont Avenue, and provides easy access to numerous restaurants, pubs and shops.  The hotel features high-speed Internet, indoor pool and fitness center.

The closest MARTA station is the Decatur Station on the blue rail line.  If you are coming from the airport, take any train from the airport and exit at the Five Points Station.  Follow the signs to the Eastbound train platform and wait for an “Indian Creek” train.  Only an “Indian Creek” train goes to Decatur.

Once at the Decatur Station (about a 15-minute ride from Five Points) take the Swanton Way exit out of the station (not Church Street).  You will exit the station into the bus loading area.  Keep to the right and walk around the bus bay, and just at the end of the bus area will be a narrow street on the right with yellow posts across it.  Turn right into that street, which will take you to West Ponce de Leon Avenue.  Turn right on Ponce and left at the first stoplight on to Clairemont Avenue.  The hotel will be less than a block down on the left (see walking map).

  • There is a CVS on West Ponce de Leon Avenue if you need any necessities or prescriptions.  A small Kroger is also nearby.
  • The free Cliff Shuttle picks up passengers at the Decatur Station and goes to Emory University/CDC.
  • Bus 2 at the station can also take you to midtown Atlanta near several attractions, including the Fernbank Museum, Fox Theatre, The Varsity and the Shakespeare Tavern.  Just be sure to look up and know schedules, as it isn’t a very frequent route.  On the return trip, make sure you board a bus 2 marked with “Decatur Station” as its destination.

MARTA to Hyatt Atlanta Midtown

The Hyatt Atlanta Midtown is located at 125 10th Street, just slightly over a block from the Midtown MARTA Station on the red/gold rail line.  It is due to open in 2013.  Nearby attractions include the Margaret Mitchell House, Piedmont Park, Midtown nightlife and business district, Fox Theatre and Georgia Tech.

On MARTA, take the 10th Street exit out of the station and turn right (if you exit the station via the Federal Reserve, turn left).  Walk over Peachtree Street and the hotel will be  a couple buildings down on the right.

MARTA to Holiday Inn Centennial Park

The Holiday Inn at Centennial Park is located at 101 Andrew Young International Blvd.   It is next to Centennial Olympic Park and near attractions such as the Georgia Aquarium, World of Coca-cola, Imagine It! Children’s Museum, AmericasMART and the CNN building.   It also features an outdoor pool, laundry facilities, free meals for kids and a fitness center.  The closest MARTA station is the Peachtree Center Station on the red and gold rail lines.  All trains departing the airport stop at this station.

After exiting the train, follow the signs to the Harris Street/John Portman Blvd exit.  Walk through the fare gates and follow the signs again to Peachtree Street West.  Go up the escalator to street level and turn right on Peachtree Street.  At the first intersection, turn right on Andrew Young International Blvd. and walk about two blocks.

  • You can also get to the hotel via the Dome/CNN/Philips Arena Station on the blue/green rail line.  Take the Philips Arena exit out of the station and walk straight ahead down Centennial Olympic Park Drive.
  • Bus 1 travels next to the hotel on Centennial Olympic Park Drive.  Stand on the park side of the street to take the bus to Five Points/Underground Atlanta/Braves Shuttle.
  • The park features free outdoor concerts on Wednesday evenings from April -September, from roughly 5:30-8 p.m.

MARTA to Holiday Inn Express Downtown Atlanta

The Holiday Inn Express in downtown Atlanta is located at 111 Cone Street near the Tabernacle and Centennial Olympic Park.  The hotel features a free hot breakfast and 24-hour fitness center.  The hotel itself is located in a historic building, with the closest MARTA station Peachtree Center on the red/gold rail line.  All trains departing the airport stop at this station.

After exiting the train, follow the signs to the Ellis Street exit.  Walk through the fare gates and keep right to Peachtree Street West/public library.  Go up the tall escalator and walk straight out of the station on to Forsyth Street.  Walk past the public library and turn right on Luckie Street.  The hotel is about two blocks down at the corner of Luckie and Cone Street.  Turn right on Cone Street for the entrance.


  • Ted’s Montana Grill is one block beyond the hotel off of Luckie Street.
  • Walk the Fairlie-Popular district and (especially Broad Street) for historic street fronts and inexpensive food options.
  • Within a 15-minute walking radius you can get to the Imagine It! Children’s Museum, World of Coca-cola, Georgia Aquarium, Centennial Olympic Park, Philips Arena and the CNN building.

MARTA to the Quality Hotel

The Quality Hotel is located in downtown Atlanta at 89 Luckie Street, near the Rialto Center for Performing Arts and the Georgia State University campus.  The hotel features free WiFi and breakfast bar.

The closest MARTA station is Peachtree Center on the red/gold rail line.  After exiting the train, take the Ellis Street exit off the train platform, then follow the signs to Peachtree Street West/public library after going through the fare gate.  Walk straight out of the station on to Forsyth Street past the public library and turn right at the second intersection on Luckie Street.  The hotel will be about a block down on the right.

  • The Sidebar is a cozy, local bar nearby on Popular Street.
  • Not much is open as far as restaurants on the weekends, especially around Five Points.  You’ll have better luck finding open restaurants around the Peachtree Center Station or the 24-hour Landmark Diner across from the Rialto.
  • Head up to the top of the nearby Westin hotel for a birds-eye view of the city.

MARTA to Hotel Indigo

Hotel Indigo is located at 683 Peachtree Street, next to the Georgian Terrace Hotel and across the street from the Fox Theatre.  It is a boutique hotel and features 24-hour business and fitness centers and the 683 Bar and Bistro. The closest MARTA station is the North Avenue Station on the red/gold rail line.  All trains departing the airport stop here, and total walking time is less than 10 minutes.

After exiting the train at the North Avenue Station, look for the signs pointing to the Fox Theatre/AT&T building, which is opposite from the North Avenue/West Peachtree Street exit.  Go through the fare gate and keep walking straight ahead through a small indoor mall.  You’ll reach an exterior door, turn right on 3rd Street.  Walk a short block up a slight incline to Peachtree Street and the hotel will be across the street and a couple doors down on the right.

  • There is great live jazz across the street from the hotel at Churchill Grounds.
  • If you forgot any travel supplies or medicine, CVS is a short walk away on Peachtree Street.
  • If you want a good burger, walk up to the Vortex, also a couple blocks north.
  • Bus 110 stops in front of the hotel on Peachtree Street and will take you to the Arts Center (including the High Museum of Art) going northbound or to downtown Atlanta southbound.

MARTA to Savannah Suites

Savannah Suites is located in between downtown and midtown Atlanta at 140 Pine Street, and offers some of the cheapest rates in the city.  However, be advised that it is also on the same street as a homeless shelter and in general is not the safest area in the city.

To get there on MARTA, take a red or gold line train (including any train from the airport) to the Civic Center Station.  The most direct route is to exit the station and walk north on West Peachtree Street (away from the downtown skyline) and turn right on Pine Street.  This route does take you by the shelter.  The walk is about two blocks (see map).

To walk a more roundabout way to avoid some of the street scene, walk north on West Peachtree Street to one street past Pine Street and turn right into the Emory Medical Center.  Follow the road around the building to Peachtree Street.  Turn left on Peachtree then right on the next street, Renaissance Parkway.  Walk one block to Courtland Street and turn right.  The next street is Pine Street.  Turn left to reach the hotel.

  • Use caution after dark.
  • A few blocks away is Mary Mac’s Tea Room, a great spot for homestyle southern cooking that has been an Atlanta landmark since 1945.  From Savannah Suites,  turn left on Pine, left on Piedmont and walk a couple blocks then turn right on Ponce de Leon Avenue.  A little further down from the restaurant you’ll also find the original Krispy Kreme store.
  • Kitchenettes and laundry facilities available.

MARTA to Motel 6 Atlanta Downtown

One of the most affordable hotels in downtown Atlanta is Motel 6 located at 311 Courtland Street.  The nearest MARTA station is Peachtree Center on the red and gold rail line.   After exiting the train, follow the signs to the Harris Street/John Portman Blvd. exit.  Walk through the fare gates and follow the signs again to Peachtree Street East, walking partly through the Peachtree Center Mall.  At street level, turn right on Peachtree, then right again on Baker Street.  Walk two blocks and turn left on Courtland Street.  The hotel will be on the right.

    • For inexpensive dining, check out the food court inside the Peachtree Center Mall.
    • The Hilton is located next to Motel 6, and in the basement you’ll find Trader Vic’s, a fun tiki bar/restaurant.
  • Bus 16 has a stop outside the hotel on Courtland Street that will take you to the Five Points MARTA Station and Underground Atlanta.

MARTA to the Atlanta International Hostel

The Atlanta International Hostel is located at 223 Ponce de Leon Avenue, closest to the North Avenue Station on the red/gold rail line.

If you are coming from the airport, Greyhound or the Megabus, take any northbound train to North Avenue.   If coming from Amtrak or a station in the north, board a southbound train.  Once at the North Avenue Station, follow the signs to the North Avenue/West Peachtree Street exit.  After walking through the fare gates, go up the stairs/escalator to street level and turn left on North Avenue.  At the stoplight (Peachtree Street), turn left again then right on Ponce de Leon Avenue.  The hostel is about three blocks down on the right.

If you don’t walk or have luggage, board bus 2 at the North Avenue Station.  A one-way trip is $2.50, or if you are visiting the city and plan to ride several days, consider purchasing day passes or multiple trips at one time.  Riders can pay cash on buses, but don’t receive a free transfer to the rail line.

The closest MARTA station is the Civic Center Station on the red/gold rail line. Twelve Centennial Park is a hotel and condo building at 400 West Peachtree Street NW.  It is right next to the Civic Center MARTA Station, making it one of the closest hotels to MARTA.  The hotel suites feature full-size kitchens and amenities include an outdoor swimming pool and business center.

To get there on MARTA, take any red or gold line train to the Civic Center Station and follow any exit to street level.  Head south on West Peachtree Street toward the downtown skyline and the building is the first one on the right.

MARTA to SpringHill Suites Buckhead

The Buckhead SpringHill Suites hotel is located at 3459 Buckhead Loop NE near the Buckhead MARTA Station on the red rail line. It features a 24-hour market, complimentary hot breakfast buffet and shuttle within two miles (contact the hotel about availability for pick up at the Buckhead Station).

If you plan to walk from MARTA, it is about a 15 minute walk from the station.  If you are coming from the airport, make sure you board a train labeled “North Springs” to get to the Buckhead Station.  After 7pm, board any northbound train and exit at the Lindbergh Center Station to connect to the “North Springs” train there.

Once at Buckhead, take the first set of stairs out of the station and turn right to walk along Peachtree Road.  The Capital City building will be the first building on the right.  Walk past the building then immediately turn right on to a driveway that runs alongside Capital City.  Keep walking straight ahead past several parking garages, down a flight a stairs and past a small park.  The hotel is just ahead on the left across from a shopping center containing Old Navy and Bed, Bath and Beyond.

You can also board the Buc Shuttle (Piedmont Lenox Line) during weekday morning and evening rush hour right outside the station.  Exit at the Prominence Building and walk across the street to the hotel.  MARTA bus 5 also travels close to the hotel.  Board the bus at the Lindbergh Station and exit at the intersection of Piedmont Road with Buckhead Loop and turn right on Buckhead Loop (Chipotle is on the corner).

Nearby restaurants include On the Border, Chipotle, Farm Burger, Copeland’s of New Orleans and Ru San’s.

MARTA to Hampton Inn Atlanta Downtown

MARTA to Holiday Inn Select

The Holiday Inn Select is located in downtown Atlanta near the Georgia Capitol at 450 Capitol Avenue. It features a free shuttle within a 3-mile radius of the hotel (which includes the closest MARTA station), event/conference space and the Rockfish Grille restaurant.

The nearest MARTA station is the Georgia State Station on the blue/green rail line.  If coming from the airport or north of the city, take a red or gold line train to the Five Points Station and then follow the signs to the Eastbound platform.  Get on the first eastbound train that arrives, which will be labeled Indian Creek, King Memorial or Candler Park.  Exit at the next stop, Georgia State and take the Piedmont Avenue exit out of the station.  You check with the hotel regarding a pick up from this station at 170 Piedmont Avenue SE.  Or, turn left on Piedmont and walk about four blocks to the hotel.  Piedmont Avenue turns into Capitol Avenue, and the hotel will be on the left.   Walking time is a little less than 15 minutes.

Bus 32 and bus 55 also stop in front of the hotel.  Catch the bus at the Five Points Station.  From the hotel, bus 32 goes on to Zoo Atlanta and Grant Park to the south and to the Georgia Aquarium to the north for easy sightseeing from the hotel.

MARTA to Days Inn Atlanta Downtown

The Days Inn in downtown Atlanta is located at 300 Spring Street, closest to the Peachtree Center MARTA Station (see map). The hotel features a complimentary breakfast and newspaper along with an outdoor seasonal pool.

Take any red or gold line train, including any train from the airport, to the Peachtree Center Station.  Follow the signs off the train platform to Harris Street, then take the Peachtree Street West exit after walking through the fare gate.  At street level, turn left on Baker Street and walk about two blocks.  The hotel is on the corner of Baker and Spring Streets.  The entrance is actually on Baker.  Walking time is less than 10 minutes.

MARTA to the Loews Hotel

The Loews Hotel is a luxury highrise located at 1065 Peachtree Street NE, just a couple blocks away from the Midtown MARTA Station.  It features Eleven, a contemporary restaurant, a lounge and Exhale spa.

To get there on MARTA, take any red or gold line train to the Midtown Station.  Take the main exit out of the station and turn right on 10th Street.  At the first stoplight, cross over the street then immediately turn left to walk north on Peachtree Street.  The hotel is about a block down on the right.

Hotel Melia provides luxury accommodations at 590 West Peachtree Street on the edge of downtown and midtown Atlanta (see area map).  It has a restaurant, the Grille at 590, and a lounge/bar that features live jazz.

The closest MARTA station to Hotel Melia is the North Avenue Station on the red/gold rail line, which is only about a block away. MARTA to the Residence Inn Midtown

The Residence Inn Midtown is located at 1365 Peachtree St., just a couple blocks from the Arts Center Station.  To get there on MARTA, take any red or gold line train to the Arts Center Station and after going up one level from the train platform, follow the signs pointing to “Arts Center”.  Take the elevator or take the two flights up escalators up to Arts Center Way, which is the street that runs just behind the High Museum of Art/Woodruff Arts Center.  Turn left on Arts Center Way then right on 16th Street.  The first intersection is Peachtree Street.  Cross over the street at the stoplight and turn left on Peachtree to reach the hotel. MARTA to the Artmore Hotel

MARTA to Hyatt Place Atlanta/Downtown

The Hyatt Place Atlanta/Downtown is located near two MARTA stations at 330 Peachtree Street NE.  Nearby attractions include Hard Rock Cafe’, Peachtree Center mall and offices, Georgia Aquarium, Centennial Olympic Park, World of Coca-Cola and the Imagine It! Children’s Museum. With daily parking at the hotel $22/day, consider taking MARTA from the airport or other destination and walking to the hotel.

The closest MARTA station is  the Peachtree Center Station on the red/gold rail line.  Follow the signs to the Harris Street exit and then to Peachtree Street West.  At street level, turn left along Peachtree Street and walk just over two blocks.

Or, exit at the Civic Center Station, also on the red/gold rail line. Exit the station and head south (toward the skyscrapers) on West Peachtree Street.  When you get to the edge of the small park, turn left on Simpson, then left on Peachtree Street.  The hotel will be near the corner (see walking map from both stations).

All trains departing the airport stop at both Civic Center and Peachtree Center, so merely get on the first train that arrives.  The MegaBus also stops at the Civic Center Station.

MARTA to the Sheraton Atlanta Perimeter North Hotel

The Sheraton Atlanta Perimeter North Hotel is located at 800 Hammond Drive, closest to the Dunwoody MARTA Station on the red rail line.  From the airport or downtown, be sure to get on a “North Springs” train to get to the Dunwoody Station.  From there,  board bus 5 or bus 87 as the hotel is not in walking distance.  It is less than a 10 minute ride on the bus, and you receive a free transfer to the bus if you tap your Breeze Card when exiting the train station. You can also call ahead for the hotel’s free, but limited, shuttle service (404-564-3000).

As a special until Jan. 1, 2011, the hotel is offering Falcon football home game specials.  Valid for Friday and Saturday arrivals on game day weekends, room rates start at just $89 per night and include two round trip MARTA tickets to get you to and from the game. The Renaissance Hotel is located in midtown Atlanta in the former Palomar Hotel location at 866 W. Peachtree Street.  The closest MARTA station is the Midtown Station, but the hotel is also accessible from the North Avenue Station (see area map).

For the shortest walk, take a red or gold line train to the Midtown Station and exit on to Peachtree Place and turn right.  At the first intersection turn left on W. Peachtree Street and walk about two blocks.

MARTA to the St. Regis Hotel

The St. Regis Hotel is located in Buckhead at 88 West Paces Ferry Road.  The closest MARTA station is the Buckhead Station on the north red rail line, though it is not in easy walking distance, and best to take bus 110 from the Buckhead Station.

If coming from the airport, downtown or midtown, be sure to to board a northbound train labeled “North Springs”.  After 7pm, you must travel to the Lindbergh Center Station and transfer to a “North Springs” train there.

Once at the Buckhead Station, exit the fare gates and take the first set of stairs or the first elevator out of the station to street level and wait for the bus there. The bus runs approximately every 15 minutes on weekdays and every 20 minutes on weekends.  Exit the bus at the intersection of Peachtree Road with West Paces Ferry (see area map). You can also board bus 110 at the Arts Center Station (be sure to take the northbound bus towards Lenox), but the bus ride is longer.

Nearby attractions in walking distance include the Atlanta History Center and the Buckhead Theatre. Nearby restaurants include Nava, Cheesecake Factory, 103 West, Chops and Seasons 52.  For more sight-seeing, bus 110 also travels to Lenox Mall in the north and the High Museum of Art/Woodruff Arts Center to the south.

MARTA to the Four Seasons Hotel

The Four Seasons Hotel is located at 75 14th Street, a short walk from the Arts Center Station on the red and gold rail line.  All trains departing the airport stop at this station, so commuters coming from the airport can board the first available train to get to the Arts Center. Once at the station, take the West Peachtree exit out of the station and turn left on West Peachtree.  Walk one block to 14th Street and turn left again.  The hotel is a short walk down on the right (see walking map below). The Park 75 Lounge and Terrace is located inside the hotel, and nearby restaurants include Einstein’s Bagels, South City Kitchen, Lure, Highland Bakery, Front Page News, Veni Vidi Vici and Tap 1180.

The Marriott Suites is located at 35 14th Street near the Arts Center Station on the red and gold rail line.  All trains departing the airport stop at this station, so commuters coming from the airport can board the first available train to get to the Arts Center.

The Marriott Perimeter Center is a short walk from the Dunwoody MARTA station at 246 Perimeter Center Parkway NE.  To get to the station you must be on a red line train.

If coming from the airport or downtown before 7pm, board a train labeled “North Springs”.  After 7pm, board the first train that arrives, exit at the Lindbergh Center station and wait for a North Springs train there.

Once at the Dunwoody station, exit the fare gate and walk straight ahead to the stairwell/elevator next to the parking garage.  Go all the way down to the ground level and follow the sidewalk out to the street (Hammond Drive).  Turn right on Hammond Drive then left at the first light on Perimeter Center Parkway and walk about a block (see walking map).

MARTA to the Ritz Carlton Buckhead

The Ritz Carlton Buckhead is located at 3434 Peachtree Road, closest to the Buckhead Station.  However, the hotel is also walking distance from the Lenox Station (see walking map).

The benefit of the hotel being in between two stations is that those coming from the airport can take the first available train to get to the hotel.

If you board a red line train labeled “North Springs“, exit at the Buckhead Station.  After going through the fare gates, take the first set of stairs (or the elevator slightly beyond the stairs) to street level and turn left to walk along Peachtree Road.  The hotel is about two blocks down, around a bend in the road.

If you board a gold line train labeled “Doraville“, exit at the Lenox Station and take the “To Mall” exit off the train platform.  At street level walk straight ahead along Lenox Road and cross over Peachtree Road to reach the Ritz Carlton, which is on the corner.

Bus 110 departs from the Lenox and Buckhead stations if you don’t want to walk.  From Lenox, look for the signs pointing “To Buses”.  From the Buckhead Station, go through the fare gates and take the pedestrian tunnel underneath Peachtree Road.  At street level, wait for the bus at the station entrance.

MARTA to the Westin Atlanta Perimeter North Hotel

The Westin Atlanta Perimeter North Hotel is about a 10 minute walk from the Medical Center Station on the red rail line.  The hotel also provides a free pick up service at the Medical Center and Dunwoody Stations if you call ahead to make arrangements.

To get to the station you must be on a red line train.  If coming from the airport before 7pm, board a train labeled “North Springs”.  After 7pm take the first train that arrives to the Lindbergh Center Station, exit the train and wait for the North Springs train there.

If you plan to walk, once at the station, exit on to Peachtree Dunwoody Road and be sure to cross over the street before turning right.  Walk about 10 minutes, going under the interstate, then turn left on Concourse Parkway (see walking map).

The Hilton Atlanta is located in downtown Atlanta at 255 Courtland Street near the Peachtree Center MARTA Station.  All red and gold line trains, including all trains leaving the airport, stop at this station.

After getting off the train, take the Harris Street (not Ellis) exit off the train platform and follow the signs to Peachtree Street East after walking through the fare gate.  At street level, turn right on Peachtree Street then right on Harris Street/John Portman Blvd.  The hotel is about two blocks down at the intersection of Harris Street/John Portman Blvd. and Courtland Street (see walking map).

MARTA to the Ellis Hotel

MARTA to the Ritz Carlton Downtown

The Ritz Carlton in downtown Atlanta is located at 181 Peachtree Street, a short walk from the Peachtree Center MARTA station.  The hotel features an upscale restaurant, The Atlanta Grill, along with a fitness and business center.

MARTA to the Hilton Garden Inn

Located in downtown Atlanta, the Hilton Garden Inn at 275  Baker Street is close to Centennial Olympic Park,  Georgia Aquarium, World of Coke, CNN, Philips Arena, Georgia Dome and the Georgia World Congress Center.

The closest MARTA station is the Dome/GWCC/Philips Arena station on the blue/green rail line, right next to Five Points.  If you are coming from the airport or from the north, you’ll need to exit at the Five Points station and follow the signs to the Westbound train platform.  Once you change trains, ride one stop to the Dome/GWCC/Philips Arena exit and follow the signs pointing to Philips Arena to exit the station.

After going up the tall escalator, keep to the left to walk through the courtyard in front of Philips Arena and the Georgia Dome.  Turn right at the first street on Andrew Young Internal Blvd., then left on Marietta Street after you’ve walked by Taco Mac.  Walk slightly more than a block and turn right on Baker Street (see walking map). Approximate walking time is 10-15 minutes.

Embassy Suites Downtown Atlanta is located next to Centennial Olympic Park at 267 Marietta Street.  Across the street is Philips Arena, Georgia World Congress Center and CNN, with area restaurants including Taco Mac, Stats, Dantanna’s, Peasant Bistro, Legal Seafoods and Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse.

Get on the first westbound train that arrives and go one stop to GWCC/Dome/Philips Arena station and follow the signs pointing to the Phillips Arena exit.  Go up the escalator and then walk up the flight of stairs and keep walking straight ahead past Phillips Arena and then turn left onto Marietta Street and walk about two blocks (see walking map).

The other walking option is after exiting the station, veer left to walk through the courtyard in front of the Georgia Dome and the World Congress Center.  Turn right at the first street on to Andrew Young International Blvd. and walk past Philips Arena and Taco Mac before turning left on Marietta Street.  This route is slightly faster, but walking time in either direction is less than 10 minutes.

MARTA to the Sheraton Hotel Downtown Atlanta

The  Sheraton Hotel in downtown Atlanta is located near the Peachtree Center station on the red/gold rail line at 165 Courtland Street NE (see area map).

If you are coming from the airport, take any northbound train to the Peachtree Center MARTA station.  Follow the signs pointing “To Harris Street” after exiting the train, then after going through the fare gate, follow the signs “To Peachtree Street East”.

At street level turn left on Peachtree and walk to the first intersection and turn left again on Andrew Young International Blvd.   The entrance to the hotel is two blocks down at Courtland Street.

MARTA to the J.W. Marriott Hotel

The J.W. Marriott Buckhead Hotel is less than a block from the Lenox MARTA station on the gold rail line (see area map).  It provides easy access to shopping at Lenox Square Mall and Phipps Plaza in addition to providing easy train access to other Atlanta attractions.

If you are coming from the airport, downtown or midtown, board a northbound train labeled “Doraville”.  Take the Doraville train to the Lenox station and follow the station exit signs pointing “To Mall”.  At street level, walk straight ahead and cross the street to walk along Lenox Road.  The hotel is less than a block down on the left.  There is access from the sidewalk to the front entrance where there is a large water fountain.

Nearby restaurants include Houston’s, Truffles Cafe, Prime, Lenox Square Grill, Bluepointe and Dantanna’s.
