MARTA to the Sweet Auburn Heritage Festival

The Spirit of Sweet Auburn Heritage Festival will take place Oct. 1-2, 2011 on historic Auburn Avenue near downtown Atlanta.  The festival highlights the heritage of the historic street and will feature food, artist market, live entertainment and a kids zone (see festival map).

The closest MARTA stations are the Georgia State and King Memorial Stations on the blue/green rail line.

• If you exit at Georgia State, take the Jesse Hill Jr. exit of the station and turn left.  Auburn Avenue is about four blocks up the street past Grady Hospital.
• If you exit at the King Memorial Station, at street level cross over Decatur Street/Dekalb Avenue and walk north along Hillard Street.

You can also take bus 99 from the Georgia State Station.
