The area around the Civic Center MARTA station is very walkable and feels safer than the area around the North Avenue station one stop away. There’s a homeless shelter on Pine Street, so that street and area should be avoided for maximum safety. Restaurants and hotels on West Peachtree Street and Ivan Allen Jr. Blvd. are in safe walking distance from the station, but always be aware of your surroundings, especially as the station is located in the city.
