Civic Center MARTA Station
The Civic Center MARTA station is located at 435 West Peachtree Street, in between downtown and midtown. Red and gold line trains stop at the Civic Center Station, which is next to the Twelve Hotel and near Emory University Hospital Midtown, the W Hotel, Inn at the Peachtrees, Hyatt Place and several nice restaurants including Room and BLT Steak. The Atlanta Civic Center and Georgia Aquarium are also nearby, but you will have to walk about four blocks to get there (see area map). Be advised that when walking across town, take Ivan Allen Jr. and not Pine Street. Pine Street has a homeless shelter and isn’t as nice of a walk.
Buses
There is one MARTA bus that connects to this station, bus 32, which travels to the Georgia Aquarium, Georgia Capital, Turner Field and Zoo Atlanta/Grant Park. You can also connect to the MegaBus at street level, on the northbound side of the street, just south of Pine Street. The MegaBus offers inexpensive rides to other cities in the southeast, including Charlotte, Chattanooga, Jacksonville, Orlando and Nashville.
Several commuter buses also drop off and pick up at this stop, including GRTA Xpress:
