MARTA to the CDC

The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) at the Emory University campus is accessible by a MARTA bus route, though is not in walking distance from a train station (see area map).

Bus 6 departs from the E3 Inman Park and N6 Lindbergh MARTA station. This route goes completely through Emory on Clifton Road and also has a stop at the Emory Village.  Exit at Clifton and Houston Mill Road for the closest access to the CDC.

The free CCTMA Cliff Shuttle is another option.  You can board the shuttle at the E6 Decatur station bus bay starting at 5:30am and ending at 8pm.  The MARTA bus runs past the CDC until just after 11pm.

If you are coming from the airport, the best route would be to take any northbound train to the Lindbergh Center station and catch bus 6.  Otherwise, you will have to transfer trains at Five Points to get to the other stations.  Another option is to take the train to Lindbergh and from there take a taxi to the CDC.  There are usually taxis available outside the station.

For more information,  see how to use Google Maps for MARTA directions to get quick access to route schedules and options online or through your smartphone.
